I'm writing this because two of my friends have tried to download and play Dragon Saga, and it's not working. They both have the same issue...Gateway works, but the problems start when they click DOWNLOAD and it opens Internet Explorer. I don't know why but we all have issues with that. So for my two friends, it would start downloading but eventually time out before completion.

The alternate links ( http://forums.warppo...lient-download/ ) do not work. When my 2 friends download them, they get a message that says the files are corrupt. This is after multiple downloads...same message.

It says:

the cabinet file "media5.cab" required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error readginf from the CD-Rom, or a problem with this package

Please help...I feel like this is a serious issue if people who *want* to play are blocked :/ It depresses them from trying any harder...which is why I'm the one writing for help, not them.

We all have Windows 7, brand new machines (as in just bought 2 months ago, fully up to date, etc etc....no problem playing modern games...)

Although you say it's new, I still have doubts and blame it on their PC. Maybe viruses that slows down their computer/internet or plainly viruses that disrupts/corrupts the download/files. If their download starts, I'm 95% sure it's their PC's fault. Maybe too much porn like me before... <_<

If yours is working, just copy them a file and make it simple. If not, have them reboot their computer or clean their system (although most anti-virus programs doesn't clean crap; rather they can't, once infected).

Wish I could, but they don't live in the same state as me :/ 1 of them I'll be visiting in 2 weeks, and I'm gonna bring the game on harddrive. But honestly, we shouldn't have to do that, the official download should work.

I don't think it's a virus, these 2 guys are pretty "techie" (one of them works part time by fixing computers, both hardware and software). Plus they play a lot of games, including Steam games and such... it doesn't make sense that Dragon Saga is the only game not working. Ragnarok Online works for them, for instance, and that's another Gravity game. It's just Dragon Saga that is giving us this issue. Thanks for trying to help though :/

Even then, I stand; pointing fingers at their PC.

Honestly, it's not just some PC problem since I been getting that recently too ( off and on ).
And let me tell you, this PC is a God. :/

It's something with going on with Gateway or the DSO links host.

"I been getting that recently too"; I don't get it (to be honest).... It's a one time download.

Yes, thank you! It's not just my friends...and it shouldn't be dismissed as "just" a virus (although, thanks to that person for putting an effort to help, regardless <_< ). If it was something like, xxx.dll file cannot be found in the registry, then I would be inclined to think there's a virus on the computer. But there is an error with the installer, not the computer :Emo_22: Plus --- it doesn't make sense that Ragnarok Online can download and install perfectly fine, while Dragon Saga does not, on the same computers. The issue is with the Dragon Saga installer...

Have you tried copy and pasting the download link into another browser? I installed my game when it released back in October. I don't like internet explorer so when I clicked download and IE opened, I was able to just copy and paste the link into chrome. My download worked fine when I did that.
