Is the IM buffs really intended to be used this way..?

I make a cleric and get the IM buff, then I reskill but I can still use the IM buff eventho they say it requires the cleric's regular skills. This seems to me a bit strange.

This way I can make a battle cleric with ALL the buffs AND 2 bonfires AND 2 heals? If they want to make cleric a better fighter they shouldn't make this a "IM cleric fighter". This is not a good direction since it leads to being a better BC = invest in IM. Is the game really all about investing in IM now?

Take away this option and up them on other aspects instead. I could have kept on going what this leads to and why it's so riddiculous but I guess many disagree with me^^ Feel free to comment!

Even if you get the item mall buffs, you won't be able to get all passives heals and bonfires. The passives take an insane amount of points anyway. But even with the item mall buffs battle clerics are amounf the worst pvp classes. And yes, that is what the game is about, investing into the item mall to become stronger.

yes.. IM battle cleric (IMBC) as you call them, are awesome on their own and have good healing skills to back them up AND have the best buffs a pt could ask..

The only downfall for IMBC is they can not buff outside the and can not buff summons.

Even if they are aware of this, I doubt the devs will come up with any counter plans for them for awhile.

Edit: I dont know how good they are in pvp, but they can be substitute tanks during pvm.

Good answers/thoughts, but the question remains. Is it intended to be like this? That I can buff myself while the skill I'm using do not meet with the pre-req skills!?!?

I reckon they should remove this option and instead add something that will make them a better fighting class. I'm not gonna make a suggestion just some examples.

Raise the passive attack dmg? Perhaps not since they are, after all, clerics - but perhaps just a little.
Add a few de-buffs, sounds to me as if clerics should be awesome when it comes to de-buffing but have they got any real de-buffs at all..? The Champ got MANY de-buffs even on the AoE attacks - this seems, again, a bit wierd to me.

Yes it is intentional for them to work this way. And yes, battle clerics could use improvements, there was a lengthy discusion going on the proposals section has been buried.

So, they want a skill to be useable WITHOUT meeting pre-skill req - wierd.

I have to buy IM buffs AND a reskill to make this happen - greedy *not uttering the word*.

the IM Buffs used as a BC arent uber.

every support cleric have better buffs. cuz aas BC u dont get more then 400 int. so less int= less powerfull buffs.

i thought that int is pretty much useless when it comes to buffs...as the gain is negligible

It is. For everything except attack speed you could just use a buff pot and have higher stats than the highest int cleric could buff you with.

I agree with what you are saying that they aren't actually much better, but you kinda missed my point :(

My point is that you can still use IM skills eventho the pre-req skills are missing.

What's the point in pre-req skills if you don't need to have them? Is the pure purpose of this only to sell a bunch more skill resets? I think it is wrong. Either take away the pre-req skills (I wouldn't like that option tho) or make it so that you actually need the pre-req skill in order to use IM buffs.

This isn't anything about clerics being weak/strong - start another thread about that -_-

Doing this now only inconveniences those who bought them for this purpose. It doesn't really benefit anyone.

or it can be done without party and i still get buffed?
