Are you in the right forum? the latest update is the 474, and you can find the manual patches in the pages before this one.

i've played on and off since s1 i've never had this problem till jan 31

this is the error i've seen it everywhere in this forum

old file not found. however, a file of the same name was found. no update done since file contents do not match.

so i did the +1 to

UserGameVersion=00000480;
UserPatchVersion=00000480;

by the way, the text i had to +1 to was the usergameversion, not the patchversion. the patch version would move up 1, but not the game version so that's the file i +1ed.


till this point. the manual patch ended at 479 but i see on the launcher they had to repatch it

anyway i got through to the login point finally. now it's saying versions don't match. so where do i go to match these numbers up?

ah of course i must say i'm using vista 64. it's installed in programfiles(x86) and i am on as admin.


ah ha i see my client says version is 13.62.1 on the login screen but the req website is saying the client is 13.66.0 so i believe this is where my error lies. any help here?

You should never modify the UserGameVersion. If it doesnt change alone then is probably bcs your windows is blocking the file. To solve that install the game in a different folder that isnt inside the Program Files folder.

Save your screenshot folder and uninstall the game, then delete the remaining files in the requiem folder, restart the pc and install the game again, but this time dont do it inside the Program Files folder, do it in another place.

When install will said:

UserGameVersion=00000XXX; (where XXX is the number of the version you have: dont modify it)
UserPatchVersion=00000XXX;

Then can place the manual patches (from the XXX to the latest one, 480 atm) in the Patches folder (it also can work without the manual paches, you can just modify the version.dat and run the game and let it update from the site) and modify the version.dat like this:

UserGameVersion=00000XXX; (where XXX is the number of the version you have: dont modify it)
UserPatchVersion=00000480; (latest patch)

Attention, dont modify the UserGameVersion or the game will get corrupted. Only change the UserPatchVersion and save.

Then run the game and the UserGameVersion should update alone when the game install the patches.

ok my mistake on that. i understand about the windows protection thing under program files. but it's worked all this way : ). there's been no change on this end since the game update, and even running as admin it's not working.

you know what i'm gonna work on permissions on that dat file see what happens.

i changed the game version back to 74 and was right back where i was before, game loads 75 then gives that error

later:
i changed permissions on all the folders under requiem to full.
nope patch is still increasing but game version is not. guess it's redownload time.
fun game by the way.

Hi there, i was wondering where i might get the manual patches from the start (so from the beginning onwards)
Downloaded the client and after keep getting error messages so got the advice to download the patches manually, but the rapidshare one isnt
there anymore and well megaupload is offline.

Any ideas?

Yes, but it's included in the link I gave! Your web browser might not support those links.

Try with: ftp://patch.playrequiem.com

And then a box should show up where you type username and password

Username: download
Password: Requiem.USA

If that doesn't work, try the same but with a FTP client, like FileZilla. It's free.

help me plssss!!!!why my launcher always stuck on 501.rtp at 42%!!!i restrt computer,restrt launcher almost 5 timess the problem still same..rlly frust..i want play the game,i want enjoy the game,u jsut downloaded the client but still cant play the game...

if my laucher updater stuck on 501.trp at 42% so i just need to download the 500 - 512 only????pls reply asap..i want play this game now..hate waiting

Try and keep your bandwidth open and avoid downloading any Pron at the same time.

You can also download these manual files and put them in your Patches folder and edit your version.dat, update the patchversion -> latest patch (0000000512), save the file and then open the client.

dude,i has try to download the patch from playrequiem.com and put the 501.rtp~512 on patches folder,then add 000000512 to version.dat ,i was foolow from what tht website says..but still got the same error..when i open the patches folder back..all the patch sersion i had add before gone..and only 501.rtp were inside..
