Ragnarok Online design a prophecy on the end of the world, a man or a woman will survive from the end of the world, needing to protect the yggdrasil tree to prevent the world collapsing into niffleim. Loky decided that it is the time to destroy the Yggdrasil tree at the Root of his growing.
Loky is a genius, he know very well how to manipulate humans and other gods for his own advantages.

The event would look like an instanced war, in many town this quest should look like the seal quest, many player must do the quest in order to safe one of the town. Kafra Warp would be disabled and people would have to fight big monsters all over the world until they reach the town that has been invaded.

Once all town are safe the there would be a small breach in the yggdrasil tree, getting to a new area, you are in niffleim in the center of the tree where everything started and where everything will finish, Ymir lived there and the God murdered him, to create that world, full of hatred, We manipulated you to bring back his heart, and so Ymir will revive and that will be the end of this world.

I know this may seem an high end ragnarok story but still
