Or you can just use Firefox and get Adblock Plus.

If you press F11 (full screen) it will go to the bottome of the screen like it should be. The compendium is completely messed up w/ me atm. I am unable to click on most of the icons, a popup will come on saying i have to do something in order to go to the page, and the ad thats supposed to be at the bottom is a pain in the butt. I've done a virus check at least 5 times because of the stupid popup lol.

I'm having problems with the code provided to me to display some of the ads.

It looks like i might have to revert to google only which is a pain because the others tend to pay better.

It's all very well to use browser ad-ons to block the ads but you should be aware that it's the ads that actually pay for the development of the site and maintaining the domain name etc. If people don't view them and occasionally click one, I don't get paid and eventually the site goes away through lack of funding.

typically I only get about 1 click per 1000 page views and it pays on average around 8 cents. Not really a lot of return on hundreds of hours of coding.....

Only problem is if the ad impedes use of the site, people won't use it as much, which means less views to even have that 1 out of 1000 clicks.

so all we have to do is click on the link? we don't have to actually do anything with it? Does it work if one person clicks multiple times? If so imma spam link clicks so you get $1mil support funds and can drop the ads

Most of them credit 1 click per unique IP per day, so spamming it does nothing.

per day? so 200 ppls (ROSE community) * 1 click per pc * 1pc * 365days * 2(?) ads * $0.08 per click= $23,360/yr. hahahaha at that rate its $12.17/hr and 43 years till 1mil not including taxes. Average web designer salary = $26.04 according to a website i found...

You should never spam click an ad.
Click fraud will get the publisher (me) suspended by google.

One click per visit would be nice though :P

FYI there is a paypal donate link on the page too. you could always send some money that way if you want ads dropped altogether
