I heard about the benefits of each, and personally really want to go with seamless for extended survivability, but will my dps be really -_-ty if i go seamless?

Seamless is killer if you have to pretend to be a tank.

Of course, I always welcome more "Commanders" who dance around like clowns, they are the greatest spectacle and amusement this game has to offer, probably...
Really, dont take me wrong, but if you are a TANK who can also FIGHT, what the HELL would you be running for?
P.S. Side note: How I wish they NERF that Beam Slash, yes I do. Lets see what all the dancers will do without its pierce effect!

i know seamless will make you hardcore like a tank but what's the point with all that defense and health if you do damage right?

And, no, your damage will not suffer by using Seamless. Concentrate on your weapon, shield and jewels and you will have more than enough damage. A tank is a tank, you can't change this. A Protector is THE tank and only does that, to perfection. A Commander is a tank who smashes bones on the way. Remove the Commander's tanking features, and turn the character into a travesty? Anyway, not my kind of thing. If however, this is the way that pleases people to play Commander, I have nothing to say, be my guest by all means. As for me, I will always come to YOU, trample YOU and move to the next one(s).
P.S. OK, Kim, has a point. But... You dont NEED +30 gear to be effective. You can still manage, I just believe you could manage BETTER if your survivability is also better.

As he already mentioned, more def + hp and phys crit rate.
If you want to deal dmg then equip yourself with reinforced jewels,
if you don´t have decent def + hp + res you´ll die faster
as a prot. And you´ll need time as a commie to kill, bcs your dmg
is not as high as a sin or zerk.
FoC is only good for grinding really, or if you are high lvl at your bracket
then maybe u can take advantage from skill crit rate and dmg
or it would miss too often anyway.
Seamless is the way to go.

FoC for a more damage oriented Comm, Seamless if you want to play it like a Protector.
this, nothing more to it, don't need walls of texts everytime...

SEAMLESS if you want to play the class for real, Sylrium if you PRETEND to play the class, i.e. you THINK you are a caster and kite. Your choice really, but COMMANDER is BLOODY FIGHT AND TAKE IT LIKE A MAN. Like a Zerk more or less, you just have def, shield, different skills and more strategy instead.

I'm not a pro in your class ofc and I totally understand what you mean, which is why for my class I use s1 everlasting. You're saying start(edited, had stop before) with the durable set and build damage from that, however it can also be done backwards no? Done well backwards

As you can see from my or nins text, foc set has disadvantages.
If a newbie would see loys text he/she would prefer
foc set and I tried to explain why foc set sucks imo.
