Cannot find file: palette

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I didn't see it...

Everytime I try to play RO I get this error: CPaletteRes :: Cannot find file: Palette

This happens directly after I log in and choose my server. I'd like to try this game out. -_- Thank you for any help!

You are using a pre-renewal client, or your client has not properly applied the renewal patch.

Uninstall RO, and reinstall using the latest download ( irowiki.org/wiki/Clients_and_Patches ) and make sure the patcher finishes successfully (it should download a whole boatload of patches the first time you start the game.

If you're using Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you should install RO outside of program files, and set the shortcut to always run as admin (rightclick -> properties) to make sure that it patches correctly.

Please post relevant details (OS, where you installed RO to, whether you're running it as admin, whether you downloaded the right version).

You did uninstall the old version, right?
I've gone back and forth about this with several people who then realized they were running the old version, which they had not removed.

okay ! nvm i got it to work ! sorry for the fusss, i didnt realise i had to patcch both the renewal.exe and the freeragnarok.exe for it to work :]
