Mage Melee Attacks

Right now a "melee" from a mage is considered a magic attack and does a crapload of damage especially to soldiers.
I think skills only shud be considered as magic attacks and in fact they inflict great damage, but melees should not.
You're hitting an armor with a staff, it should be considered a physical attack.

But the staff is a magic tool and therefore can be imbued with magic. So it would make sense to still do magic atk.

If thats true, i think there should be a way for other classes to get a higher magic defense other then the INT stat :wub:

It might be imbued with magic, but you're still hitting a golden wall with a stick. Magic or not, it can't hurt that much.

Well personally I think mages are OP at this point, but that is my opinion. I think the Devs are still making adjustments to the classes so we will see what happens. I also think champs are still OP since they still have such high def and ap, even though their mspd was lowered. Again, I guess it is just a wait and see thing.

But on another note, when a cleric hits with a "magic" wand it does not do hardly any damage. So I am not sure why the staff does other than the mage's AP, etc.

Cleric hit good too but less than mages because they have a lot less AP than mages. But cleric is fine because they throw magic balls, while mages just hit you with a staff, magic or not its a staff. I see no magic animation when I get hit by a staff...unlike wands.

Champs are not OP. AP and DEF are their main stats and they are fine as of now. If you're hitting a champ 500s or 600s, it's either because he's got great gear and build \ your character attacking him is weak. Stop picking on champs, they just needed mspd nerf and they had it.

A skilled raider can kill a skilled champ with not many problems. Do some UWs on champ, you'll notice they aren't that good if you don't build em with the best gear and the best buff sets.

Realistcally wacking with a staff should be physical but it isn't even necessary to change it. The only thing that comes out of it is Mages being gimped harder when muted by soldiers.

The thing is that all ppl wear chiva-sets but we make magic damadge.

Btw a mage that makes meele dmg mainly is a failmage.

Mages are weak in wars.

Full chiva + lava= 1.4k no more. If you get want to have higher mspd you've got to give up a decent amount of stats. For example, in UW I have to lose like 1.4k ap to get 20% aspd and 150 mspd.

Yeah burn needs to be fixed as well they need to remove atleast 1 stun, remove 1 mute, remove the 50% debuff skill or make it that only clerics can use it at 25% success rate, everyone who plays mage are usually the ones going against it. Its skills are way OP, 4 stuns, 2 mutes, 2 debuffs, a burn that when it cast does like 30-40% of your life + the effect.

For me its mages are not OP, there def are so low that even a nub 220 soldier can kill it.

i agree with nerfing this new debuff skill but mages are ONLY good in a 1on1 - spazzy i dont see many mages in wars - or can you tell me any good mage in interex kyoudai sacrifice semperfi or killabot? (except howie)

all mages can do is stun 1 person but the combination of mspeed aspeed damage output hp and defense of champs is unbelievable.

Gojio i bet you are a random noob with a full +10 chiva set that has never ever heard about buffsets....

eerr, Let the mages deal tons of damage, their def and m-spd wasn't boosted in the update anyway. Besides weren't you guys the one that said that mages are "Glass Cannons"? So let them.

You are the one who doesn't know what he's talking about. I have the full mspd buff set and even with buff pot, if I switch to full chiva + lava d7 you have less than 1.4k. And I used to have 3.3k max mspd before the nerf, so yeah, I know about buffsets "noob".

okay i checked it mspeed clericbuffed in full chiva lava is 1.5k+ mspeed (some 1.6k).
i talked to some ppl like ichamp mora yummy (all champs) - they play in JO/FG ring and typhoon and play with 1.8k+ clericbuffed....

if my mage plays in that lineup i have 1.4k thats a BIG different - you move in atk pot up run out thats champstyle right now...

1on1 maybe i deafeat 90% of the players ingame but in wars even a +10 champ cna defeat me through this lame-game....

Cleric buffed and then switch to full chiva and full lava: 1.3k, if they have 1.5k they used a booster.
Jo\Fg Ring + Typhoons: 1.5k, almost 1.6k with a 80 mspd mask. (I used a mspd buff pot for this, so with cleric is a little lower)

If I use Typhoon Sagi set + 80 mspd mask in UW after buffing with full mspd set (cleric buff), I'm at 1.8k mspd, but I give up a lot of AP or ASPD or ACC, depending on which set is replaced by sagis.

Tell Mora and the whole pinoy company not to lie, those numbers are possible only with Speed Boosters now.

If you don't believe me, make a champ and check for yourself.

You guys think mages suck so bad thats because you only have it built to 1v1, maybe if you learn how to play your class in full extent you wouldnt be complaining about nerfs, but youre all saying a noob champ could take you down i guess that makes you a noob too? Magic defeats champ is up to you to be the winner, maybe a champ on IM can take you down asap.

The thing that upsets me about debuff is how quickly they forgot about it's last disastrous arrival. (atleast it's last way to high % success rate arrival)

Thought they'd learn a little from mistakes :X

On the subject of whacking you with a stick being magic damage, I think soldier's earn being whacked as they for some reason have a Mute and used it on a Mage. Otherwise I cant see a Mage doing that over those hella strong skills.
