I kept getting spammed by this message that there will be an xp event based on the number of ales turned in. And it was announced a while back that there will be dbl exp sponsored by playspan starting from the first week of April. How come everyone forgot about this ??

Some people asked about when the ale bonus event will be applied in the sticky for the patch notes but they were mysteriously deleted o_o

OK, so the way I see it is, two things can happen:

April fools joke - Not posting about the xp event in the patch notes.

April fools joke - The entire double xp thing was an April fools joke, and we wont get anything.

In both cases, ITS NOT FUNNY !!!!

#1 Notices that it say on April 1, which is tomorrow not today.
#2 They are still tallying the Ale even after this after today since the NPC is still there 0.o

While we try and make everything about WarpPortal focus on fun and games, occasionally tragic real world events happen and shake our lives and those we care about. Right now is one of those times in Japan. We here at WarpPortal personally have many friends and family in Japan, many of our players do as well. I suspect we'll only get one dose of EXP, not two, even though the donation effort and Playspan are completely different sponsored events.

do you even read? it was annouced that playspan would sponsor a possible exp event IF enough coins were turned on, not that there is any sort of definate event at all besides the 2nd week from the japan relief

Well these events were announced weeks ago so they're not April fools.
Though, since coins can still be turned in till April 6th, does this mean they will still be added to the redeemed total? or does that end today?
Since the exp event is supposed to be held this week, April 1-7 ...

I dont know if its just dual clienting ( 2 accounts ) which will not work, or its "multi" clienting ( 2 accounts is ok, but not more than 2). Some of the posts Ive read suggest that "dual" clienting might still be possible, but not more than 2. I may be wrong though, we might need to wait till next week for finding that out.

You'll be able to multi-client Premium/VIP accounts unlimited. But free accounts won't be able to multi-client (not even 2 free accounts). Apparently its too hard for Gravity's programmers to be specific to "allow 2 only" (according to Heim). They did say they're considering about relaxing it but no promises... You'll still be able to have 2 free accounts open on different computers though (e.g. a PC and a laptop), just not the same computer.

Oh thanks for the info. Hope that helps to even minimise botting. Although I think the Chinese gold farmers will come up with something else for sure. And I think the zeny spammers have increased 3 fold given the recent market crash.

The double exp will be starting when the servers are up!

And regarding the VIP settings and Multi-clienting, we are removing that restriction entirely. You can read about it in the thread.
