i never really wanted to post about this kind of stupitidy but really i think you guys should fix that, i was doin valk mvp,and before that i ran into some mini valks, and it drop a shield, i didn't bother to identify it because i was here to kill the mvp anyways and always have competition which i have been loosing alot. so when i allways have a shield switch so i can buff my self what so ever, the "BUG/glitch" i try to point out is on the un identify shield, it will pick up it self as a normal valk shield, so when u switch between 2 shield and have an unidentify shield,it will just u up and you won't be able to switch, so when the mvp was out, it makes you look like a complete idiot dieing to LoV over and over, so yeah all im asking is to fix it, idc how u do it, i just want to be able to do things that doesn't look so stupid like earlier

It's not specific to valk shield, it happens with all duplicate unidentified equipment. It rotates around the items when you switch gear: it tries to put on the top left most item and puts the currently equipped to the bottom right most spot. When the unidentified item comes around, it cannot put it on, which is where the bug comes in.

I never had that happen to me, and i'd have thought at some point I would have encountered that if it was always like that. Then again, i don't equip switch much.


In any case, while it's not good behavior, it's a bit of a niche case. I'd recommend carting or mailing home the shield as soon as you get one in that situation. I can think of cases where this would be really troublesome.

Is there a command to mail stuff while you're outside of town?

There's no command, but there's a trick you can use. Open the party window/friend's list, right click on a name and select "Send Message" and when it brings up the mail thing, erase that person's name and type in one of your characters on an alternate account, and it will let you send mail on a field map.

good when your hunting something bulky like great natures or something. It doesnt matter if the recipient can carry what you sent them, because they can just return it to you anyway.

ya that command is nice only if you have an alt account, but not everyone has alt account so they cant do that. they can only send it to someone they trust if its something valuable or worth a lot of money they trying to send or their only choice is to have kafra cards handy.

Doesn't everyone have an alt account? If not, won't everyone have an alt account in 2 days?

i just find it really anoying lol, whenever i do mvp like valk, i always shield switch cuz defaulting gtb sucks so yeah, everytime i find an un identify valk shield, it always me over. took me awhile to relize. this didnt happen just once, but alrdy more than a few times, ad i thought my shield were broken/missing or is just a glitch when u teleport, so i tested it and yeah is the stupid un identify item thats screwing everything up

It's a client bug. It would be really easy to fix. I doubt it'll be fixed.

You could just open your inventory and manually switch the gear which really isn't that difficult at all since you're probably going to be defaulting GTB for the fight.

lol sera is dead on the topic, that is the reason why i do not want to open my inventory, one is because i really have a -_-ty computer so that sometimes when i try to move my cursor it just fly all over the screen, i have a few experiences of droping my gears on the floor because of that, so now i hotkey my gear that i am able to use /bm
