Wow, I can't believe I've been gone for 6 months now. I very rarely visited the forums since then, but then I saw that (omg) iRO is free now! Now, I'm deciding to get back into my ever so beloved RO :(

So uhm, can someone do a super quick recap of what I've missed? Gosh, so many 150s everywhere, I have some serious catching up to do.

Awww, how sad. I guess not as much catching up needed as I thought. So, what major catastrophic event happened this time that made people quit? Or did everyone simply get bored?

You can't really take everything eveyone says here too seriously. Though I don't really WoE personally so that doesn't bother me much, Ymir WoE Clandestine Society alliance is doing very well since they are very active, newbie friendly and push recruiting a lot. But there's still pickings for other guilds that make the same efforts. 700 people playing on Ymir or more at peak, more for Valk (less for Ygg since it was a new server). After this F2P thing once the kinks have been worked out and more VIP benefits added if the staff promote the new mode there should hopefully be an increase across all servers (thats the idea anyway). From what I've heard some intend to return and some intend to begin playing. Some will quit too but thats just the way of things.

If you've been gone 6 months theres probably quite a lot to catch up on as you may of missed Renewal and 3rd classes as well or maybe you just caught its beginnings? We also have a new area called Brassilis now mainly for mid-levels but the next episode El Dicastes I think will be better for higher levels. There is also the new VIP settings/features upcoming. If you return to Ymir keep an eye out for Ultimate's events like the Hide and Seek and other things :( If you have any particular questions I'm sure someone can help. iROWIKI would be best to check and this site: http://rode-r.doddlercon.com/

Renewal Woe happened, then the GM's did a "special" event that essentially broke all god items and even more people quit when woe kept going terrible for them. Insur guild/alts/anyone tied to them got perma banned and woe got even worse cause there was no comp. Now its like Iris/Chaos was pre merge essentially.

Basically big guilds E|A/DC/WF/Insur/SGN quit and woe numbers dropped from over 500-600 to like 200? I personally dont play anymore but I watched part of last sats siege and seeing how laggy and stupid some of renewal woe is I dont see the point.

Thank you for the compliment, the main reason we are doing so well is we actually merged with another guild called Punishment and together we have a much stronger force. We try to be very active and helpful, the merger was the Punishment leaders idea, and so far it has given us a great new experience in the game and we have made a lot of new friends. Crazy Karaoke nights and just an all around good time.

Thanks again for the kind words.

First off welcome back. yes Clandestine/legends and Absolution are a very strong force but so is the other big allance. If you go to the right castle there are good woes. No where are they close to being liek they use to be, But it is still great fun.
