But seriously, Ygg is just like Iris, dead and lonely... and then you have Chaos and Loki aka Valk and Ymir... It'll be like nothing ever happened! Kinda like in the movie Beerfest when the guy dies and then his "twin" brother comes and fill his place... lol

But back with Chaos and Loki there was no "Free" vs "VIP". Thats pretty much the only reason why I can't see them making Valk and Ymir one server. Blame the bots.

I do think 2 free servers is overkill though at this stage.

But is there really a "free" server anymore? the whole game is now free and I can log into any server now. In other words, all servers are now equal aside from the VIP benefits should you purchases those at your own discretion.

There's still a distinction where Valk is considered the "free" server, mainly due to the bots.

Everyone that thinks about this has asked almost immediately about the bot stopping, and for that we have an answer that only premium accounts can create characters on the current premium servers, thus an initial payment, or a special invitation would be needed to create a character on our current Premium servers. Valkyrie players will get an option of the premium account as well, but you can create a few characters on Valk without an initial purchase; thus Valkyrie is still a free server.

But yeah 2 free servers is probably not necessary right now and become a Chaos vs Loki thing if the Ygg playerbase increases with the free entry.

Ygg probably should of been made a Welcoming Server like they had thought to do such as jRO has and forever be the "new player" server but there being an existing playerbase on Ygg makes that too difficult.

But in terms of playerbase you're right. With it being divided in 3 parts and with the low population unless this whole F2P push works it'll be similar to pre-merge Chaos/Loki/Iris.

I was just saying, its a shame the bots have created such a divide. If they could sort the bots out like jRO somehow, it could all be 1 with no differences for real.

In all seriousness though, why not rename the servers? Sure there would be a lot crying, some rage and a whole lot of arguments suggesting that names are more than names. But at least it would give Ragnarok back some connection it once had to the manhwa.

Main problem with renaming the servers is that people would come back from pre-merger RO (i see a steady stream of such players). Also, it would imply that the mechanics were the same between the servers, which is not the case; ymir is different.

Chaos, Loki, and Iris sound way cooler and make infinity times more sense than Yggdrasil, Ymir, and Valkyrie.
