That was the first of well, many tracerts.Like said above do the power cycle thing and maybe do a release and renew on your modem, and tell your little brother to stop downloading all the talky movies from the interwebs.
Usually if a problem is that close to home it means the local ISP is likely doing work and failed to inform anyone, hopefully it is normal again within 24hours.
Including one where it was a ping of 9 up till SanJose where it lost a couple packets, spiked to 3.6k then dropped to 300 by the time it got to the RO servers. While others it would be 35 till halfway, then jump to 200+ the rest of the way. A few where it would climb from 35 to 500 by the time it reached RO servers. As well as jumping between a ping of 9, a ping of 200, then back to a ping of 9.
This only happens with RO however, and not with any other online game I play.
Though I have reset my modem and did the release and renew. Its casing felt pretty hot though, I might be throttling and overworking the poor thing by playing RO for 16+ hours a day...
