All right folks, with Week 1 matches completed, I'm looking for feedback.

If you have any ideas/suggestions/comments about Rim's Naked PvP League -- whether they concern league rules, skill restrictions, etc. -- please feel free to share them here.

P.S.: Let's try to keep this constructive. If you want to flame each other, take it to PMs, please.

CURRENT SUGGESTIONS:


(I'll try to keep this updated so we don't recycle the same issues all the time. Those that have been implemented are in bold.)

1. Eliminate all skill restrictions?
2. Eliminate ninja skill restriction for Wood Rush (log)?
3. Ban lag-dashing?
4. Eliminate Sword Dance skill restriction (only for myrmidons/overlords), while banning Stumble?
5. Allow a limited number of heals per round?
6. Eliminate Chain Lightning skill restriction?
7. Ban Aim Rate-reducing skills like Stumble, Quagmire, etc.?
8. Ban Storm Blade for both warrior classes?

A question has come up regarding skill restrictions, and I want the community's opinions (particularly those who participated in the first week's matches):

Do you think we should eliminate skill restrictions for the league altogether? What are your thoughts?

How do you propose we even get rid of lag dashing? It's not really something that you think about, and it just happens automatically. For someone who has used dashing to maneuver for an extremely long time, it would be like forcing myself to completely relearn my movements. It's not even possible to know if you've done it or not, and some people don't even realize they're lag dashing.

I think it should be like ranked. 1 class per team IE 1 archer, 1 thief, 1 mage, 1 warrior.

That's quite easy for an archer to say, when they're already used to having the movespeed advantage.

But the only base class that has anything in common in their endgame classes would be archers. Warrior - Pally mostly ground, Myrm mostly air. Mage - Invoker heal?debuff? Warmage spells? idk. Thief - Ninja ground/air combos, Savage mostly ground. So I don't see a point in limiting it to 1 archer 1 thief 1 mage 1 warrior. That would also lower the member limit to 4.

Im fine with the skills how they are, but can we each have 2 aim accessories say 5-8% per eq and have not other stats? There was quite a bit of missing going on even before people were stumbled.

The problem with that is that it would favor people who added Health and be a disadvantage for people who added Agility.

Classes with low base health and agility are naturally disadvantaged!
