I want to publish a book about my adventures in Ragnarok Online.
I just do not know if I would be able to do so due to legal issues. I am 100% serious here, so please do not flame me.

i just wanted to know, is there an office I have to contact to publish a story? Since it isn't MY game, I do not claim ownership to it whatsoever, but do I have to have like a contract that Gravity signs or what?

If so, how do I contact Gravity corporation?

Please and thank in advance.

I would send the first page or two to a GM via pm on forums or through ticket system so they have an idea of what you're talking about. I don't think they would say no outright.

In Japan they actually have a LOT of RO goods and many made by fans, but thats because Japan has certain rules on fan-based work that lets them publish stuff in limited amounts or during limited times in a year such as Comiket. Depending on your country the laws will be different. But so long as you have permission from the actual copyright holder you should be OK. But the copyright holder might be the Korean HQ or the people they hired for certain aspects (like character design or story writing if you're re-using/adapting parts of the original story).

What country do you live in and where do you want to attempt to publish your book?

You could do it like I do.
I also want to write down the story of my characters as a book. But because of these legal issues, I decided to take the story I made around them and change the setting completly.
Means I created a new world, new laws, new threats, took away EVERYTHING that came from the game and made it into something else.
Now I guess it's very hard to recognize as a story that was "born" in the world of Ragnarok Online.
The only hint I left was the nordic mythologie, and this is "free to use" :P
(not to mention that I set the mythologie itself to a little different setting as well x3)
