I'm not really sure where to level. I'm level 34/18.
I tried Mi Gao like a guide said, and mantis owned me while hidden, and Mi Gao were too hard to kill anyway, since blaze shield did maybe 100 damage to them.

They also said try Groves, so I went there, and groves are fairly good, I have to recharge SP partway through. But then Novus and Anopheles started spawning, and both see through hide, and kill me easily.
So should I stay at metalings? If I can merc level faster somewhere else, I can afford scrolls.

If you can afford merc lvl then how about geographer map? Just get yourself the bowman. Same can be said with mi gao. If you still can't do either for some reason then yes metaling isn't bad.

Okay, I just don't want to spend zeny on a world tour like my 6k for groves and 50k for Mi gaos.

Stalactic Golems are a pretty good leveling spot. You will need a little skill though. Make use of Exploding Dragon and Blaze Shield.

Stal Golems are not a great idea at that lvl. She would get owned. Especially with all those bugs running around.

Honestly the best thing to do is make a rogue. And hunt up some dokebi horns for your ninja.

If you have an ice pick, resume to hunt bacillus. If not, then at least youre in your 60's by this time. Where you can get a party when all of these exp events run around. It's difficult to solo lvl on a ninja.

Either way, with renewal coming along, (if ninja is your main) I wouldnt worry about focusing on it. It's going to get left behind for a while. Get a good guild that will help you lvl. (what server btw?)

You're gonna need to stay at metalings. Once you gain about 10 levels, you can go to Moscovia Les', you should have no problem with Blaze shield, ED and CSS. The sooner you get Cicada Skin Shed, the better. Freezing spear 1 is also a helpful leveling tool for some quick damage.
At about level 50ish Mi Gao's will be fine. If you have CSS, Mantis won't bother you - just blaze shield if one of those idiots come on screen and guide him along through it a couple times.
I kept my ninja at Mi gao's until about 70, then you can proceed to do some goats (probably solo, you're better that way) or you can try pulling with CSS...I wouldn't count on that working all the time, though.
Make sure you max out First Wind, because that will be your final leveling skill (and IMO, the best ninja skill)
First Wind does about as much as Exploding Dragon but...it doesn't have that horrid three second delay! Spam away!
You'll be going down to level 3 of Ice Dungeon owning Titans with first wind. If you're dedicated, you'll 99 there.
Make sure you have an unfrozen armor for Titans.
If you ever get bored of Titans, you can do Alarms in Clock Tower and mob up real heavy with blaze shield and first wind. The experience is not at good as Ice Dungeon, but it is a change of pace.
