I'd like to address some issues.

Heimdallr seems to be in this "Alright enough bull, we're gonna try and slowly talk to the community about things we want to do".

I say nai to this.

Discuss what we, the players want to do instead. You've already had threads on this, but I'm seeing more and more that you forward things that pull away from what the players want and would like, in favor of your own wantings. While it is important to discuss the matters that fuel this server, it is more important to keep the players happy and make them want to play, instead of constantly thinking about finances. With less players you wouldn't be making enough money anyways, no matter how clever your box event is.(just an example)

If these recent threads and discussions are because the rest(ie;what we have previously addressed) is "in the works" and already sent to HQ then alright. But tell us that instead of staying silent. If we don't know what's going on then we can't trust you. We don't know anything because you never tell us.

For my part, I would like to ask about these things:

When will we get the new RK sprites? It has been sent to HQ, alright. But let us know more. The sooner the better. Get more of what we want, then focus on what you want. We're already waiting months on end for "new" content to reach us from the other servers. Even with the monopoly kRO and jRO has on their items, it seems like they are "doing it right".

Why are you going on about adding so many more new things and features? The last patch did clear up a lot of issues and things, and it was only a few days notice on some of them too. I won't hold that against you in any way, you've done a great job. Maintenance was a bit long, we would like to know more what goes on. Perhaps update the gravity blog or have a "Maintenance Blog Thread" here.
But back to the point, why so many new things? Are you not addressing the cases we've already discussed? What has gone through? What hasn't? Why are there no updates from HQ? Why are we, the players not informed about what is going on?

It's like ingame, you won't disclose the upgrade rates to us for some reason. You won't tell us what goes on for some reason. We're getting tired of it, it's like with your parents when you were young. When you didn't tell them what you had and had not done they assumed you didn't do anything.

I hope this doesn't sound harsh and negative, I'd for us to have a civil talk about these things and let us players know more. The issues I brought up specifically are my own preference, what I care about.

Perhaps a thread can be created that contains a list over user suggestions and "wants", and it can be crossed off as you take care of it.

Come with inputs, if you're a gm please post what you think, but don't think of this in a negative way and post accordingly. This isn't to call the gm team out or have a huge fit. I've talked to some players ingame and they have no clue what goes on here. I want to get some things straight, get some answers and improve moral on the forums and ingame. The main spark for this is a thread over at irowiki where several users said that they have quit because the community over the past couple of years has gone down the drain.

To the GM Team:

You know why Minecraft is so popular? It's because the developer listens to the community and lets them know what is up. And while you aren't the devs of ragnarok online, you are our devs.

Personal opinion: the thing that is really important to the success of the iRO team right now is more communication - there is a reason why so many companies hire social media reps, or PR people, because you have to be on top of communication 24/7 to not alienate your users. I know Heim and many of the others try really hard to be on top of stuff, but frankly it's not their main job, and it would be really nice to have a dedicated someone get back to us on a lot of issues/questions that keep coming up. Even if it was just a "still waiting to hear back on that, we sent it out on such-and-such-date" or "I'll check back on that, you'll hear from me in a few days" and actually DO get back to us.

If you don't know something, or aren't allowed to release it to the general public, at least say so. Point in case as mentioned above: if the upgrade information is not public, or you don't know, or kRO devs keep it all to themselves and not even you understand it, then say so.

I agree with Atlas on this though - silence or no response makes us think that you haven't done anything. I know assumption "makes an --- out of you and me," as my parents used to say, but at this point more communication would be an easy solution to an issue that has existed since iRO started.

P.S. Atlas, a better title would have been appropriate. Fake attention isn't necessary if you want a serious conversation.

I totally agree with the two posts above. More communication IS necessary! Like when maint. was running late on Thurs, how hard would it have been to get someone to hop onto the thread and update it with a post saying "Sorry guys, but maint. is going to run a little late tonight. Our apologies.". If you guys have enough time to film and edit little videos for your youtube channel, you sure as hell have time to make a forum post.

I don't know whether to report this post for having a misleading title or being very tl;dr worthy... Aren't there a million other threads complaining about the same thing anyways?

I'm sorry, the thread was not getting any views at first. That would be due to the long post though, so I'm sorry for that- and I changed the title back.

This isn't another one of these "dis sucks fix pls" threads, I want to have an open-ended talk with the other users and the GM's themselves about these issues.

Communication is key, and we're not seeing it. As LemnzestManatee said, if they have time to mess around filming and doing things on youtube they have time to update and give feedback to us.
We're not empty shells, we're players who want to make our server a better place to be.

If the gm's won't answer to this I'll notify them on msn, ingame, send support tickets and make more threads. The reason it's going downhill is because we feel that we are being ignored and that most of the things we say get ignored and forgotten.
Now if we had some communication with the team about stuff we want, then it would be a different story.

Heim is already starting to add massive new things, discuss a lot of stuff with the kafra shop- but overlooking that the core is mostly unhappy. If he continues to add in more new and new that he wants, and things that the GM team internally discusses then many things will go to hell in my opinion.

This thread is to stop that- before things like that are done.

I have tons of ideas that forward the community and gets the word out, having worked in marketing and design I know a little about that.

One is for example;

If they have something new they want to discuss- make an npc ingame that works as a poll, update the forum with a thread that tallies the ingame votes- have users use ingame to do things.
Update the patcher with it, have gm announcements, use the tools you have access to and make people notice.

There are a lot of things the gm team can do, but mainly they need to talk to us. Preferably have a dedicated spokes person.

A person like GOD-POING, because why do people remember GOD-POING? They remember her because she was the best gm- The most visible one who probably did more than her job, supporting the community and listened more than anyone.

Oda is doing his part in trying to communicate with the community though. From my standpoint, it feels like Gravity is giving Oda more work, thereby forcing him to somewhat lessen his communication with the community. That or I feel like the Devs aren't listening to the suggestions Oda may have made. He said it was his job to listen to what we have to say sometime ago. :)

They aren't too many over at Gravity US, and they also have other games than iRO to focus on.

It may be that Oda is as you say TK, getting more work to do.

But this is all we do, we speculate. We're worse than the news. Even iRO Wiki is made based on speculation and assumtions because the gm team doesn't disclose information about the game or things that happen.

We need a person that we can rely on regarding information, a gm that talks to us.
