Hello everyone!

I know that the game has gone free to play now(if you so desire), however what i wanna know is if the VIP package is worth it. Also when i do start playing, what server should i pick? I heard that Ymir has alot of veteran players so maybe thats not the right place for me to start on? being a total newbie and all :). Im afraid that i wont be able to find people to group with while lvling and that most people will look down on me simply cuss im new to the game or am i wrong? :/

Would really like to see some feedback on what server to pick, would i do fine on Ymir being totally new and without knowing anyone? or should i pick one of the free to play servers to meet equal players?
As for the VIP package i can easily afford it and it does sound attractive tbh :D

Thanks in advance!

You are fatally wrong in saying we despise newbies, instead we welcome them a lot. It is nice to see a new face once in a while! Although, you should join a more populated sever like Valkyrie and join me! Look for Sulfuric Acid at west prontera, the capital of rune Midgard! I will definitely help you if I could. Ymir indeed has lesser bots but you are quite lonely or at most only have a few friends on at Amy point of time so it isn't very nice but u decide though I feel valk will be a good choice

Newbies are welcome on Ymir. :)
Finding parties at lowlevels is sparser these days on all servers I think because with Edens gear/turnins/quests and the new EXP curve the low level stages zoom by quite quickly now. So long as you use a Monster search database like this and stick to monsters at your level or above (by 15 levels) its very fast because you can get up to 100% - 140% exp per kill (and then with the extra exp from VIP benefits on top, even faster):

But when you join you could hook up with a newbie-friendly guild of which there are many on Ymir and chat with others, also they may have alternate characters they need to level up or have some new members in the same position as you.

There's also the Party Search System ingame:

You could also just put up a chat stating your level and that you're looking for people to party with or friend in Edens which gets a lot of low-level thoroughfare. As well as high level now with the VIP buffer.

Drop by New Player section if you need any help:

I don't think Ymir is a lonely server, I mean its not Ygg (no offence Ygg)

As for VIP being worth it. Well I've played on Loki Premium -> Ymir Premium a long time, so I'm used to it. "Premium" meant you *HAD* to pay to play via subscription and VIP is basically the same (subscriptions), but just optional. But with even more benefits now (like the VIP buffer at Edens and the upcoming benefits which they will be gradually adding in future). I've always felt subscriptions are better value for money since the effects last all day every day for a whole month or beyond compared to Kafra Shop consumables that add up in cost day by day. And I like that now paying a subscription is becoming more valuable.

If you're going Full Support you could check out Decadence on Ymir. They say they are in need of Priests. Though they started to accept only players 65+ because they got so full. If you say you'd like help with bringing a Full Support up from scratch for their guild I'm sure their people would help you out. Try asking on their thread:

Welcome to Ymir :D , its a great server and you'll find the majority of players extremely helpful, whether veteran or not. I'd also suggest getting into a Guild as soon as possible, a lot of new guilds popping up and looking for new players. Good luck!
