As the title suggests, does RO have a respecc option incase you mess some stats or skills up? is there a way to respecc and fix it?

Right now there is a free reset NPC in Edens HQ called the Mesmerist which will reset sats/skills one-time. Its a limitied time thing though as its mainly for returning players coming to check out the new F2P/Renewal/etc.

Other than that there is Neuralizers. Buyable in the Kafra Shop to reset skills or from other players via trade/deal for zeny.
And reset stones for resetting stats. Available from PlaySpan or from other players via vends for zeny.
Theres also a reset service option via the Value Added Service which you can buy, don't think its publically advertised anymore due to the above options but I think a member of staff said you could still send in a ticket and ask.

I'm a recent returning player so I don't know where I can find that information about the Mesmerist with the limited time stat/skill reset offer, but I would like to know more. Do you (or anybody) know how long will this offer last until?

The Mesmerist is currently in Edens HQ which is accesible by clicking on the little silver haired elf novices in towns:

He's in the first room/area you enter. He'll be the silver haired dude standing infront of a chalkboard and signboards.

The following Kafra Shop items allows respec:
Neutralizer - reset all skills
Reset stones - reset all stats, number of reset stones required depends on your level

For a limited time until 5 May maintenance, mesmerist NPC in eden office allows a one-time free reset (both stats and skills at same time)

For many years before the introduction of Kafra Shop, Ragnarok Online had absolutely no way of resetting your stats or skills, just exactly like Diablo 2 pre-1.13. Before renewal, iRO allowed limited stat resets via GM value added services, limited to 20 stat resets, and only once every 3 months.

Before patch 1.13, Diablo 2 had absolutely no way of resetting your stats or skills. Since 1.13, finishing the Den of Evil quests allows a one-time free reset (both stats and skills at same time) - exactly the same way the limited-time mesmerist NPC in eden office did.

Reset NPC should be permanent and have a small fee for the first time then increase in zeny for each reset imo.

Game is supposed to be opened up more by adding in "new quests and new features".

Why not give alternatives to reset stones in the Kafra Shop? A quest would be a good way to give people things to do. Quest and get a reset. Something where you "lose your memory".

Reset Stones added to Kafra Shop, slotted sunnies in boxes, Dress Hats added over and over again, MVP Boxes returning, and now...GTB/GR/DR/God item effects being added to consumables.

I didn't know that the new quests to add gameplay were going to involve going to Payon and scrolling through the kafra shop for additional end-game features. Silly me.

This is a great idea, and no one says the quest has to be easy. It'll give people something to do, especially if it required a party (and all members got a reset). I think you should post this in whatever suggestion column there might be, it's worth a shot imo.

So much about renewal is still unknown. None of the damage formulas are for certain (most are estimates) and I don't think there's 1 complete renewal stat calc out yet.

Still seems to be a bit early to be charging for resets. I know, personally, that my guild has a lot of ideas we'd love to test but refuse to shell out for 7 reset boxes at a time to see if something MIGHT work.

I'm all for questing. Questing in a party would be nice, but party style questing will die once enough people are set on builds and all. Something along the length of the nameless quest would be nice. I know that keeps people occupied for hours. If you don't want to quest, then you can buy reset boxes. There needs to be an alternative though. Or like...when you're doing the NL volcano quest thing. You have to tele down and find that kid and save him. That'd be something good too for the resets. Get to a difficult place to save somebody only to get "jumped" and "lose your memory".

I'm all for gameplay. Paying for all of this is getting old though. Especially when renewal was supposed to bring about a whole new realm of stuff to do...but now most people are done because of turnins. Renewal is still pre-renewal. End game = max level and kafra shop. Quest rewards being kafra shop items would keep people busy though.
