I haven't played for too long, but I started on valkyrie recently
I tend to afk a lot, and on a warper aco I idle even more, and it seems so everytime I alt-tab into the game, there's people like this



Haven't started collecting screenshots yet, but, this certainly isn't a rare non-typical case

Why do people believe that barking orders around to total strangers for a warp (which costs also them some zeny) will actually get them what they want?



If at first you don't succeed, just spam nonstop, trust me I'm not idling at all and I'm concerned about your inability to leave here



And being ordered around / being asked to use my own assets for someone else's benefit apparently makes me a jerk, strange world these people live in

Like most men, I can handle adversity, it just intrigues as to why/how they think anyone will do anything for them online -- as far as schadenfreude goes

I'd say partly the fact that your character is named "Warp to Prontera" doesn't help the situation. But it seems you already got the "ignore them" factor down. Even more so, if you are dual clienting, its not a huge deal.

I honestly haven't ran into such people in years...is this Valkyrie or Yggdrasil? Usually people on Ymir seem to either be self sufficient in getting around, or at least realize that people do afk.

I'm sorry you encountered such people though, sadly they exist everywhere. But anonymity = douchebags. Right?

But seriously, it's not my fault, even if I say <I don't have that warp/Can't/Don't have gems> they keep spamming.

When you posted your reply back to Katreyn, I think you missed that she was trying to empathize with you. =/

Yes, there are people who will seek to have their demands met in the most direct way possible, ie spamming individuals or the general public until those needs are met, someone tells them off and they go away, or they realize that people are ignoring them and they give up/try something else.

That being said, I will also point out the obvious, that your name screams "hey guys, I Warp to Prontera!" As such, you are going to attract the attention of people who are looking for such a service. While you certainly are free to name your character whatever you wish, that name is out there for everyone to see and people are going to react to it.

Here are several responses that may be helpful to use when other players approach you, demanding your services.

1) No, I'm sorry I don't have Prontera memorized right now
2) No, I'm sorry I haven't learned that skill yet
3) Sure, I'll warp you for <zeny amount> or in exchange for a blue gem (this was actually quite a common practice years ago)
4) Roll your eyes to yourself and refrain from responding to them, they'll eventually give up and go away

Some people can come across as really rude/annoying at first, but if you take a minute or two to communicate properly, it usually dissipates pretty quickly.

I make my money on this server in other ways that does not involve grinding, and these methods on a scale of 1 to 10 of nastiness 1 would be being a douche for not free warps, then I'm at a 11 where the antichrist stands. If the word arbitrage holds any meaning to you then you would agree with me.

Step one make a character's name something like : I give free zeny to newcomers
