So I played RO quite a bit when it came out. Had a 9x Knight or whatnot cant recall now. But nostalgia kickin in and I thought I might play again to kill sometime after god knows how many years.
So I have some questions:
1. Which server is the most populated? is the VIP server worth playing in? And is the golden thiefbug card (not like im ever going to get one) only in the VIP server and not the open ones even if I buy a VIP acct?
2. what class I should start as? there are a crapload of new classes now and I have no idea what is what. So treat me like a new player. I want a self-sustainable (solo?) class. I heard sura's are OP but I dont really know. I probably would go swordsman again b/c it seems like the introductory class. But I dunno what should I advance it into now.
3. is there a guide somewhere about builds and where-to-level? I see the wiki but I didnt think alot of info reguarding builds were on there.
4. is leveling still real painful? assuming I get the VIP acc and paying for kafra points isnt really an issue. How long would it take for me to say..... hit a level where I can pvp a bit.
thanks, might have more Q's later but this is it for now
Returning player... (im real old school lol)

1. VIP is where it's at. Ymir is prolly the best of the 3. Ygg, though small, seems to have less bot to player ratio. Valk, extremely populated, though a lot of that is bots, but still a good place to go.
------Suggestion, hit up Ygg, test out the new mechanics after renewal, go from there
2. Mage = easy to maintain and desired. Thief = fairly easy to maintain and keep geared, easy to level. Swordy = Easy to level, easy to gear (for the most part). Merch = Going to need at least one for vending.
------ Give the classes a try, nothing wrong with swordies though :3
3.This is a pretty comprehensive look at all the classes and some build ideas and all that jazz. OR. Check out >This< forum and you can usually see some pretty good in depth builds.
4. Leveling from 1-11 takes about 10 minutes depending on how lazy you are in the training grounds. 11-86 can take anywhere between 3hrs-2days again depending on how lazy you are. 86-99 will prolly take a few hours if not a few days depending on how much you can play (lawls on the laziness). Trans is basically the same thing up to 99. 3rd class (100-150) is the new grind, but with the turn ins and the battle manuals (2x and 3x) it makes it fairly easy.
---------Eden is what you'll be using to get from 11-86.

ymir has ALOT less bots than valk o.O just alot of dual cliented vendors and the market just took a HUGE hit so everything is currently cheap.
