I am looking to acquire some zenies for gears. I would like to purchase Kapfra shop items and then resell it for zenies, but does not know which items will yield the most zenies. Thank you.

1) You're in the wrong forum - you're posting in the WPS System and Standings forum, which is only here for historical reference, since the WPS system was removed months ago. I moved to game discussion.

2) Ask around, and use ragial to check what other people are vending. Don't get gum or manuals, they're obsoleted by readily available HE and 3x manuals, and HE gum. The stat foods also aren't that popular anymore (remember VIP players get +7 stat-food effect for free by talking to an npc). Insurance isn't a biggie because they drop from PHPs, so lots of people have em kicking around anyway, and besides, end-game leveling isn't risky in renewal, so there's not much demand. So that leaves tokens, medium/small life potions, and regeneration potions (and a few others that nobody uses), as well as any temporary events. All of those boxes i mentioned are also vendable. Prices range from 4-6m/100 points on Ymir, probably higher on valk and lower on ygg. Talk to people on your server for more guidance.

3) You missed out on a good chance - until a couple days ago, you could buy boxes of 5 lucky easter boxes via playspan, and those 5-packs were ~100m. Crap drops from the boxes were also selling fairly well, because theres an npc that takes the crap drops, and turns them into new boxes. So even crap drops from the boxes would get you like 4-8m. That event is over for now, though.

4) Man, what ever happened to discretion about things like this. We used to keep this on the down-low. But it's sorta silly when they're vendable and the cash shop has had center stage full time lately. It was officially prohibited for a long time due to problems with CC fraud rings, but since they've made the boxes vendable, i guess it's okay :-P

5) IMPORTANT: EQUIPMENT ITEMS, EVEN BOXED, ARE NOT TRADABLE!

Thank you very very much. It seem as though you're the only one answering the questions around here. Where is everyone?

It wasn't that i'm the only one answering questions, it's just that it was posted in a sub-forum that nobody goes to :-P

I tested that azz they hat boxes are tradable if they are in a box.

Which ones?

I don't think any of the kafra shop headgears are supposed to be tradable... I mean, the descs all say they aren't tradable, or did last I checked... It's my understanding that the intent is for them to be non-tradable. Unless the GMs just gave up and made them all tradeable :-P
To be clear, i was referring the boxes that headgears come in, not the "<some kind of> Hat Box" items that give a _random_ hat, and are effectively lucky boxes which only drop hats. And sithy, please tell me you didn't go buy one to test this!

Most of the headgears aren't sellable, until they say they are (For example, the Garuda hat wasn't vendable/tradeable until recently. Same with the Snake Hat). However, when the Kafra shop has hat BOXES (as in, a box you get a random hat out of), THOSE are sellable, and usually worth quite a bit when they show up.

Basically, any event item (such as the Saint Patricks hats) or any limited time item will be worth a bit... ONCE it's left the shop. If you can buy them for KP right now, they won't be worth much. Like the Taurus items. They dropped considerably while the boxes that had them were back... and now, they'll probably go up in price again.

Also, it's not always a steady market: sometimes you'll sell a lot at once, and sometimes you won't sell any for a few days. For a more consistent market, I'd suggest selling things that always have a steady market, like the HD ori and elu, and the convex mirror boxes. People will pretty much always want these, so if you undercut other vendors, you shouldn't have to wait too long to get some zeny.

However, event headgears are going to be your friend for long term money making. When the crown of deceit quest was going on, we ran everyone we could through the quest, ending up with about... 12-15 crowns over three accounts. Since it was a one time event, the crowns are now worth on valk 30-50 mil each.

Same with the Spare Cards. One of our friends decided that this was going to be a worthwhile item to have, so he got as many as he could... which was about 80. >.> Lucky bastard.

Helpful, but confusing ;). All of these quest items and abbreviations are very new to me. I am a returning player so I have no idea what these items are or what they can do. Mind clarifying which head gears/equipments are vendable? Thanks.

I've been hoping someone on Ymir would sell some medium life potion boxes - no luck so far, just smalls and regen pot boxes.

Well, Spare Cards were a one day event item back from... April Fools Day, 2008, I think. Crown of Deceit, Purple Cowboy Hats, and Brown Paperbag Hats were also around the same time, but their event was longer, and therefore, there's more of them. Spare cards are a lower mouth headgear that make blank cards drop. They can be turned in for hugel badges, which in return, can be turned into other things, which is why the spare/blank cards are worth quite a bit.

Event Headgears are a one-time ONLY thing, as in... if it's from an event, you won't get it again.

The Taurus stuff is part of the... zodiac headgears, I guess you could call them. There's a crown and a diadem for each zodiac sign, and they each do different things. The Garuda helm was part of a lucky box item.

Limited items, like the ones that come from lucky boxes (so called, because it's completely random what you get from them... could be the slotted sunglasses, could be crap), come and go, and there's no way to tell what headgears will be in the next box. So if there's one you want from a box, it's best to get it now. Which is why the lucky boxes can sell for quite a bit.

HD ori and elu, is High Density Oridecon and Elunium. It's basically, if an item is +7 and above, if you use this stuff, and fail, it won't break the item, just make it go down a notch. And you can keep using it as long as you talk to the NPC, so even if you get it to +6, you can still keep trying. Very worthwhile on things like slotted undershirts or whatnot. Convex Mirrors basically let you see where the MVP is on the map, or if it's dead, when it will spawn next. Very useful for MVP fighting.

These are why I said they would be always worth a bit, since people can always use them. And why events are worth so much, since you can only get them if you were logged on at the right time. So if there's an event to make a headgear, it's a good idea to try for it as much as possible, just in case.

As for which headgears are vendable, basically if it comes from a box that gives you something RANDOM, it's vendable. If it comes in a box by itself, it's not. So the "Saint Patricks Hatbox" or whatever it was called that had a chance of getting one of five items was vendable, but the pecopeco hairband isn't. If it came from a previous event, unless it was account bound, it's vendable.

Already got someone offering, sorry.

And, interestingly enough, though tradable, medium life potions are not vendable. I don't get it.
