But it really shouldn't matter if they do or not.
Claws are the best example of this. Priests can equip them, but they suffer a huge ASPD penalty for it. It doesn't make sense that Assassins and Ninjas cannot wear them. Ninjas should also be able to equip katanas for that matter.
If a Wizard wants to wear a HF, I'd say let him/her. Rod on an GX? Why not, it's not like it makes him/her stronger. Whip on a RK? Go for it. The only time it gets sticky is when you talk about Rogues, but I don't think it would give them anything too overpowered (PPA and Exceed Break could be annoying I guess, but most would probably still opt for flying kick and fire trap). G-fist might get a buff, but if I had my way, Guillotine
Fist whould only be usable with claw class weapons or bare handed anyway.
Then on top of that, they should make mastery bonuses worth something so that a HF in the hands of a Alchemist or Mechanic with Axe Mastery is far and away better than a HF in the hands of a Warlock or even Rune Knight.
Some might argue that it destroys the idea of a job class or class rolls, but I'd argue that it enhances customization, freedom, and individual role playing.
I know that's asking too much of the kRO devs though
Plus it'd take time to update weapon sprites to show up properly on each class (they haven't even finished all the weapon sprites yet ><).
Armor is a bit different as you mentioned, though, since defensive classes should be the only ones with access to high defense gear.
