Making zeny is easy-You just have to avoid that kind of investment.

But most of my income comes from farming monster drops with item hats. The whole reason I'm making a +7 garuda is so that I can actually make money off the mastella drops. Those things OC for a lot!

Nobody buys anything through vend anymore, so I don't even try.

I wear a +7 ale hat carded with myst case. A majority of my income comes from picking up everything I find and OCing it, and selling the ale to my guild. I also occasionally use the +7 cookie hat too, since piece of cake seems to be one of the few things that does vend, and even if it doesn't they npc for about 1k each.

I will usually just mob at harpies or magma 2 if I want zeny, although lately I've been tempted to try Archdams in Juperos 3 due to their high drop rate for elu and ori.

If someone is buying prickly fruits for a good price I will take my shadow chaser to Rachel sanctuary and farm those. Bloody runes also OC for almost 1k each and white masks about 500ish. I don't like rare hunting, since I seem to have bad luck at finding those really valuable drops. At least in this case I can get a very consistent flow of zeny 300k at a time.

also, I'm incredibly stingy about pots. The fact that I use so little in the way of supplies means I should have more zeny than I do, but I will need a lot more if I want to play the expensive classes I'm ready to try next (genetic, mechanic)

Well after this, I tried vending some things and was surprised to find that people actually buy the honey pastries and sesame pastries I farm :0

Maybe it is worthwhile to vend after all.

Also, high priest Warlock sounds awesome. Warlock with priest buffs? Yes please. I don't even need a phen, I can just stack KE with safety wall, buff my casting speed, Lex the monster and then nuke them with crimson rock.

Sounds like a huge chain of cast delay to me. >_> I'd rather just amp my MEs instead. By the way, can't cast Suff on yourself if that's what you mean by "buff casting speed".

What's so bad about more people being able to actually afford things? Besides, those single vends don't really 'deflate' those prices (except maybe Violet Fear) until others follow.. I don't think you'll see any other Tanees/Maya Purples/Ghostrings for vend anytime soon.
(and that Ghostring was, like, 2 years ago?)
