Just curious if someone's already tried to step up to the plate and get this going. I'm highly jealous of Ymir's, so I want one on Valk.

Would anyone be interested in joining? Has someone already tried to do it and failed miserably?

The response is overwhelming. xD I've talked to some people I know that said they'd be interested, but are we all just too hopeful? =P

I used to do hide and seek events with my old guild to help supply the new players with decent amounts of Zeny, but it wasn't very popular (5 people max) until I broke the guild (then everyone was interested). It was a very small guild (I had 20 people once I think) though, not many people total could participate. A server wide one does sound very interesting and I would like to see it happen. I have only seen small instances of it a few times, but I think it could become quite popular.

Well if someone were to do it I guess it'd be you Ralis. You seem to be most newbie friendly/likeable/popular person on Valk who is relatively active on the forums. I'm sure lots of people would be interested. I would. I even made a novice on Ymir to potentially join the hide and seek events! haha XD

Well, most people are the same. The ones who can admit that tend to be like-able

Back on topic, we used to do hide and seek events in our guild during special events (like when someone had a birthday). It was pretty fun actually. We should try it... Hmm. But when would be the best day to do it? Saturday?

Having it some period after Saturday WoE might bring a nice turn out. Seems to be when most people are on these days.

On another note, I will be more than happy to help with this in the future, right now I am too broke to help.

I've done it as guild events as well and I enjoy it.

A date was something I was wrestling with as well... My schedule is rather sporadic. I'm usually here for Saturday WoE, but there are times when I'm busy with other things. Also, after WoE I know I for one like to do something with my guild, ET for instance. Having more than one person to run it might be helpful, though I was also considering just moving the date around and giving a warning a few days before.

I have no problem funding it, I have backlogs of gear and such that I can hand out. I literally just threw out about half my storage into SPron a few nights ago, so yeah. XD

That's true. Most guilds do ET or Okolnir straight after WoE. Maybe 2 or 3 hours after WoE then? I'd be glad to help organize/run it sometimes. I'm generally free during Saturday after WoE in the US (Sunday where I am).

However, for prizes, I don't really have much stuff. They're mostly junk and not worthy to be called "prizes". Then again, some people might do it just for fun (and glory?). Or...Heim might want to donate some of his OCAs too XD

Meh, I don't mind funding it while I can. Honestly I'm happy to get rid of some of the things I have 3846315815 copies of. xD I don't think prizes need to be epicly-awe-inspiring, it's more something for fun.

Black; No idea what that has to do with the price of tea in China. o_O;

...its stupid on ymir.

I think 100% of the people who play on Ymir would disagree. Plus it's not a proposal there, it's a full on GM sponsored event. Now, how we can get things rolling on Valk I'm not sure yet. Of course Ralis can begin the way I did - with screenshots alone. You post a screenshot and the people online on the forum play. It helps to advertise your event the night or a few hours before you start to garner more attention.

You are welcome to give me a time and I will make an announcement on Ymir (as there are lots of Valk players with Ymir accounts). Or propose a schedule and redo my Hide&Seek Thread to include your times. So, all of that said, I can ask around and see how feasible it is to get me up and running on Valk to do an event or, at the very least, talk to Ralis a bit after I've asked around.

Great show of support for RO in general!

erm. moran. the whole concept is stupid. would never catch me at something as dull. winner gets non account bound item to +8 from 7? rah rah... but hey, its valk, like i give a crap. it would be fun to see it won weekly by dfghdfg or trwetrwrrer tho, seeing as valk is 100% bots

You quoted a post about stupid concepts. This isn't a concept for the GMs to add, it's a player run thing. Not everyone may win, but it's still something that a lot of people can participate in. Not like you need to participate anyway if you don't want to.
