The Drop Penalty has been removed on all servers (2011/05/05) ~ (2011/05/12)

Yes is true.

So regardless of your level you will get 100% of the items drop chance.

So bust out the bubblegum and your low level monster mashing gear and go to town! (well to the field really.. stupid saying..)

Hey GMs, because of the drop event, I suspect there are botters hunting for Hunter Fly Card in mjolnir_12 in Ymir. I see a few players, even a level 150 character, that act like bots. You might want to check it out.

There has been a 150 gx there for days, every time i check its stiill there rofl.

Well, the drop chance of anything great (i.e., cards) is still low. It's just that you chances of getting drops any monster is "normal" because your character's level does not modify the drop rate right now

This event is basically double drops for me at 150 since NOTHING WORTH HUNTING IS AROUND MY LEVEL. I don't hunt anything outside of these events, the drop rate is painfully low

AFAIK MvPs are excluded from the drop penalty. Barely see a difference on lowbie MvPs' drops vs 145+ char prior and after this event anyway. I am more doubtful about HE gum mechanics + vip settings to be honest than that.

This drop rate really hurts the gameplay, gear gets harder to get, market price goes up and people won't buy because it's too expensive.

People won't upgrade because if they buy one they spent so much money on it, and if they hunted it they won't upgrade it because they spent so much time trying to get it.

So yeah.
