[Dantemss]

A lot of people (but not everybody) seem to be experiencing crashes when Mistress summons her alternate mob, Giant Hornet. Can anyone else confirm?

I am getting that as well. Probably will lose my ET run with no drop pen >.<

Tried install new client even! Same problem! Both on my comp and my laptop...

it's probably because the "giant hornet Spr and ACT" are missing, no wait, it's actually spelled "Giant_Honet.spr" and "Giant_Honet.act" in the client, but the mob-monster is asking for "Giant_Hornet.spr" and "Giant_Hornet.act" so it errors.





if you just load these files into the right folder of the sprite files, or namechange them, it will work, i'm sure

looks like the new versions of jobname.lub and npcidentity.lub (which were needed for new byalan monsters) corrected some old misspellings of hornet...

GM team can have this fixed in 10 mins or less once they know it's broke. lucky for us this does not require help from kRO.

Yeah, we just encountered the same issue. Pretty annoying.

Seems the giant_hornet.spr and giant_hornet.act files are missing, or changed.

The GMs ran through this yesterday with multiple characters, and they weren't able to duplicate the error. The QA team can check the scripting when they get in, I appreciate the reports.

Giant hornet spawn are fine. The problem is the summoned giant hornet that mistress spawn after we killed the sky petite that she summons.

Try with the same client as all of us, and in Endless Tower, floor 10! Wait for mistress to summon his giant hornet mob, and then crash like the rest of the world

Or just make a quick patch for the files, like Susan says. No need for QA Teams or kro devs or scripts of things. Just make a stupid filename change before i need to hack the client to play

• copy the giant_honet.act and giant_honet_spr out of the data.grf
• rename them into giant_hornet.act and giant_hornet.spr,
• then paste them into the data.grf

with a supersmall patch so people don't have to wait for next maint


next maint you can check out the Mistress Ghost-Mob-Giant Hornets and make them use the sprite of the giant_honet without the R...

Testing this on yggdrasil this morning it definitely errored out when we carefully killed the MVP's mobs first.

It does actually means something, but I'm not sure all the gm's are fluent in HEX.

I translated the things that make sense for us.(and some that don't)

Most of it doesn't make sense except the file names, but if the GM's have some program they can feed this to, it basically shows them what file the error occured in.
What this (hopefully) is used for is replicating the error that the user got to see if there's actually a problem, or if the user just needs to update it's patcher.

Easy fix is to unzip this into your data directory (the one with the 3 .lua files inside). It doesn't change any files (only creates new ones, much like adding a skin) so I don't consider it to be client modification, but since I'm frequently at odds with Gravity over things like this, feel free to delete this post and my other one if this is unacceptable.
