So we have the Gravity Blog, and facebook plus here.


But I'd like for a thread to be made, which only the gm's and perhaps moderators post in.



In this thread, one would post what one have actually done for the day.




Doesn't have to be long, for example:

#Had really long meetings all day, coffee machine got empty had to refill.
#Ended up coding stuff most of the day.
#Support ticket team asks a lot of questions ~.~

Point of it all, while to some being mundane and a "why", it's a minor update which doesn't impose on time spent on the forum.
Perhaps it would one day feature a minor rant by a gm, or a nice "Today we had a great talk with HQ, good things come to those who wait"

We get to know briefly what happened on the current day and it will possibly spark creative discussion.


But please, post what you think of this. I like the idea, but I'm thinking some don't.

Awesome idea.

I never liked how we need to check Facebook, the Gravity Blog, Twitter, here, iROwiki.... They never post the same messages! They always vary. Usually the messages are unimportant, but sometimes it's stuff that should be seen by the entire community. We need some organization.

A few sentences a day about important goings on (or even unimportant) would be very appreciated.

I think this is an awesome ideal! Just make it short so it doesn't impose on their time. I know in the past the community has had a negative outlook on what actually gets accomplished. I know Blizzard has a raging immature fan base(Not everyone of course) who's ignorant and loves them yet hates them at the same time cause they never say anything. I'm glad I like RO just as much as Blizzard and like the moderators and team a heck of a lot more. But then again, Gravity cares about their fan base and actually speaks to us like people. Anyways, now that I've started ranting on, I approve.

I like the idea, just that... You know... I see a lot of other things that can be taken care of with just a little time spend. Like checking ticket, pm, and for bots; yet I do not see them doing it at a level I would hope/like to happen.

Example is the mistress sprite error, let see when they'll notice it. It's a pretty big bug that requires attention and fix ASAP, so other won't lose their ET run and such >.<

I don't understand what is so hard about this for the gm's.

Also for the users who are negative about this, why? Why is it bad?

Making 1 post every day or even every other day, is nothing.


It's the same as checking your email, it's done in 1-2 minutes.

It's not like it's adding a list of bots you've banned for the day.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing the GM's rant. Makes 'em almost more human,

Seriously, I wanna see how stressed they be gettin', if only for the giggles.

The GMs will not be posting here like that, it is not what their work tasks are about. The Community Managers and/or production/Q/A teams are more possible to have such a thing happen at times. But honestly most of what is worked on is very mundane, it is just alot of it.

And I do understand that you all want to have everything collected here for you to view, but from a standpoint of us getting more interest in the games it is best if we are reaching beyond our forums to bring in. A conversation on Facebook will not only be seen by many more players/potential players but also can get more players into the game than us just posting here.

But I am very appreciative that people actually do care about how we are doing and what we are thinking about when it comes to our jobs and such. We (the CMs) have tried to keep too much of our personal feelings (rants) from seeping into our posts while still trying to talk with all of you on a more personal level. I'm sure even with that attempted "stoic" nature most all of you have figured out where we stand on certain subjects and what hot topic buttons we may have.

I haven't seen them use their twitter for anything but simple notifications regarding the server, much less anything relevant to mundane things they do.
