The failed to patch issue is because the maintenance was extended.

just a question what is the operating system you all that have the error and is it 64bit or 32 bit.. i never wanted to play this game but i am forced to dl and install just to test a theory weather this error is only caused on 64bit, my friend has win7 64 bit and this don't work on his system but 3 other friends has 32bit win7 and it runs smoothly. Seeing that i am the only other friend with 64bit i am forced to dl and this just to prove this theory.. Did any1 else think of this and am i right to say that you guys are 64bit operating system, do reply.

64-bit OS should be able to emulate 32-bit in order to run certain programs. Right-click the program icon, then go to Properties, then check Compatibility Mode box and set the program to run in either 32-bit mode or a previous version of the OS. Note: this is only a Windows fix.

Also, you may have to do a complete uninstall/fresh reinstall prior to running this in Compatibility Mode if you have been messing around with the program in any way, shape, or form.
