Did you run the game as administrator? And did you set the Gravity folder to allow overwrites?

Hmm... I dont think so. How we do that ?

for running as administrator, you could right click on the icon of the exe file and when the menu pops up, there should be "run as administrator" option, click on that.

or you could set it so that it runs as administrator whenever you open the exe (for example, if you were trying to play on the Valkyrie server, right click on "RagnarokFree.exe", click on "properties", click on "compatibility" and click on the "run this program as an administrator" option, then click apply.)
this thread shows it more clearly http://forums.warppo...vistawindows-7/

I think to set it so that the Gravity folder allows overwrites, right click on the folder, click on "security", check to see what permissions you have (click on "edit" to change it if it shows that the write permission is not allowed)

that is weird because the error you're getting is related to your graphics card.

I don't know how to fix that D:

Uh, wait, what?
It looks to me like you're running the installer for an NVidia graphics card, when you don't have such a graphics card. Is that coming up when you try to run Ragnarok Online?

Or are you trying to fix a graphics driver problem, and having trouble?

Yes, When I open the game, then I click the start button, the NVIDIA installer open.

I cannot understand how this could possible occur without you having replaced ragexe.exe or ragfree.exe with the nvidia installer.

After patching successfully, try this: start -> run -> cmd
First, do a sanity check - type
ragexe.exe (an error will show in the command prompt, nothing will open)
ragfree.exe (same result as above).
If either of those launch the nvidia installer, you somehow have the installer renamed to the same thing as a RO client, and located within the system path somewhere.

Now, on to buisness - in the command window, navigate to RO folder, and type
ragexe -1rag1 (or ragfree -1free1 for valk)

This should forcibly start the client - if that brings up the nvidia installer, you somehow managed to replace the client executable with the nvidia drivers. Reinstall RO or obtain a clean copy of the executables.

If it works, but the patcher still launches the nvidia installer, then we have something even weirder going on, and i recommend contacting an exorcist.

This happened to me like...many many years ago when I was playing on like...a Radeon 64mb agp card. Except it was trying to call some irritating ATI program instead. Out of curiosity what kind of computer are you using? A fairly new laptop? A fairly new desktop?

To make things simple I would
1) uninstall RO
2) uninstall your graphics card drivers
3) reinstall your graphics card driver
4) reinstall RO.

When you reinstall these items using their respective setup files, make sure you run them as administrator.

It looks to me like he's starting up the game and for some reason it's running that extremely annoying nvidia control panel program, but nvidia was probably not installed properly (somehow) and doesn't know what to do when something tries to initialize the card.

To test if RO is the problem you could run the setup.exe file in the gravity folder. this program will open this window:

Under the first option select Direct3D Hal and try that.
