If a random person came up to you and said " I can give you all the money you've spent on Ragnarok Online back, but if you take it you cannot talk to anyone you've met throughout your adventures" would you take it?

Are the people who spend the most on RO the ones who have the most friends? I don't think I have spent that much money on RO yet ^^;.

Wow that's interesting, a lot of people in my guild say the complete opposite. Well then again most our people played since beta and probably put a lot more into the game than others.

Having done a lot of trading in RO, I'd immediately try to figure out from what angle said random person was trying to scam from.

Wait are we talking actual money or zeny? For me if it was zeny then i would say no because you can always make it back eventually. If it is real money than i say no again because ive yet to spend a single dime on kafra stuff in the 2+ years ive played RO. But the difference between zeny and real money might change the answer to other people

Nope, I was my guild's FS Priestess, and I met and married my guild's tank Knight.
We've been married in real life for 5 years this year.

Not to mention many near and dear friends we made along the way.

No way I would give that up.

What kind of stupid thread is this? Who would give up that many friends for virtual money? If someone did, I think I would have to say they were retarded, or very lonely.

I would suspect it's one of those zeny sellers or scammers and immediately call the officials. :V

Hmmmm...

I'd so tempted to scream "no way!" and join the crowd. But some of my most fond memories of Ragnarok concern people who no longer play, and it is with them that I really left my heart. So... I'm going to go with a tentative "maybe".

I still have my memories, but I really miss my friends.

Old friends, new friends I'm sure in some point you will loose contact with them. Sooner or later the game will die or you will decide to quit. So sure why not? Take the money back and won't be able to talk to them. Atleast you experience the awesome/fun adventure with them and you were once part of their RO-life. That's the memories you will never forget.

So yes I will take it and move on imo.

But if I find someone in this game, fell inlove and decided to marry him in real life. Of course I will say no.

No, absolutely not. Even taking the working status out of the picture I've met some absolutely awesome people playing RO, and while I may not see them in-game so many of them are on MSN lists or Vents or just the occasional email. (They don't know my secret identity mwuahahaha).

I wonder if you have an old friend that used to play but didn't come back, to what extent would you try to bring them back? I know that we send out emails, but we are still a company, but friends have a much more positive chance of bringing back old guild mates. I have spoken to many players that did come back and the most common thing I hear is about missing friends.. So what can we do to reunite you?

I wouldn't bring them back unless i was sure they would have fun. Try explaining things like stasis, howling, and manhole, then convince someone it will be fun to play under those conditions.

Also consider the game itself hasn't changed much at all. We've gotten like 10 new monsters since massive quitting last happened. Last memorable monster patch i can remember is Rachel / Veins.

No, absolutely not.

You would never have to respond to another e-mail or PM ever again. You could effectively ignore that email inbox overflowing with terrible proposals, suggestions, and complaints about maintenance running overtime. You could have... freedom!

Also, no.
