Today i decided to NPC all the Claw of Desert Wolf that i had collected for a weeks from mobbing Desert Wolf[LV103] ..i was annoyed that the Monster Loots are still using Old Pre~Renewal price. ~ only sell for 97 zeny in Valk :)

Example

Desert Wolf[LV103]
Claw of Desert Wolf = 97 z

VS

Harpy[LV83]
Harpy Feather = 571 Z (708 Z)
Harpy Talon = 605 Z (750 Z)

Old pre~renewal Loots price should be re Update~~

Would make sense, at the very least.

i totally agree with this, problem is high and low lvl monsters drop the same crappy loot in many cases. also, heim in his infinate wisdom has deduced that everything is working as intended here because real players only make like 14% of their zeny off of etc loot and only bots make money here. when i saw this particular statement my head nearly exploded and i typed out a 3 page essay explaining just how horribly wrong he was in his reasoning for this. fortunately for him, posting to the forum was good and broke that day so it never posted. not only are most loots not appropriately priced for the new levels each monster has, but they're further reduced in value from what they should be still from when valk first opened. equips and consumables are not affected by this quite frankly retarded nerf. this nerf was put in to encourage players to pay for access to the premium servers to get full price for their loots. now that premium is no more and the VIP system is put in it's place, even if you pay, you still cant get full price for your loots. if the value of loot scaled with monster difficulty there'd be a great deal more of it being picked up but as it is now, when you have to kill 10's of thousands of monsters to get a single level without VIP, the extra time spent picking up loots that sell for less than 100z greatly slows your leveling progress, increasing the amount of time required to gain a single level as much as 8 times. i myself would hapily pick up every piece of loot that drops for me if it didnt add up to just barely enough to buy 40 pots every 3 hours or so but it just isnt worth it. real players dont pick this stuff up, it's too expensive on time and supplies to do so. fixing this would require a great deal of editing by hand the entire drop table and etc item table, resuling in major game altering changes. this is a LOT of work, and blaming bots for this is a plausable enough excuse to quiet many that dont know any better. so with an excuse to get out of work that really does need to be done, heim puts on his trollfase and proclaims everythingwentbetterthanexpected.

if all that wasnt bad enough, throw in the drop penalty to the mix. leveling on monsters in range, you WILL spend more on supplies than you can pick up off the ground unless you have a kaahi slave and a SP souce. pre-renewal you could kill lower level monsters, ones that allow you to use less or no supplies, for loot to sell to buy supplies to continue leveling. doesnt quite work that way anymore. as time goes on, it seems, gravity has some vendetta against their customers, finding any way they can to punish us for giving them money.

i admit that this is a major problem with no quick easy simple fix so i understand the resistance to do anything about it, but even the simple matters such as correcting descriptions for skills and items, just editing text files in the client, go unfixed for years now. it seems there is no effort made to correct any simple issues with this game in a timely manner and anything that DOES take time will never be done. just this last week, mistress's second mob was crashing people out. from the time the error was verified it should have taken no longer than 10-15 minutes to make a patch for it, somehow this went on for like 3 more days. client crashes should be a critical issue and not be put on the back burner for less critical things, users were having to hack their own clients in the meantime just to continue play. this bug did not require recompilation of the binary, only the equivalent of a text edit and upload to FTP. the amount of time for this bug to be corrected is simply unacceptable and i demand an explanation as to what the hold up was on fixing it. with that in mind, even if the decision was made to make adjustments for renewal loots, i can only expect it to take 12 years to be completed by gravity staff.

Edit: oh and by the way, the way this will get "fixed", harpy loot will be reduced to 79z.

tl;dr yeah it's broke but dont expect it to be fixed before RO2 goes retail

Hm? OCing loot has never been a major source of income for players, not for years at least.

The reason for the lower OC prices on Valk is partly to help reduce the inflationary effect of the rampant botting, I think.

In anycase, OP, why on earth did you sell those DWolf claws to NPC? If you were on Ymir, i'd have bought a stack of them at 1k each. They're used for a whole slew of things, notably Turisas runestones and making some vintage hats.
