I have a ton of unfinished quests in my log as well, I just put them as inactive and forget about them... Not really that much purpose other then being a perfectionist.
Though I recently had a dream about a NPC that ate my old quests.

The Mobster quest when you first start new world quests still remains in my log. You should make the quest knight able to clear all quests.

It would be nice to remove quests you don't want cluttering your log(s).
Moving it to inactive isn't really that great of a solution, it helps but that should really be for quests you intend to do later.
You should have the option to remove any that you don't want, or no longer can do.

There is a knight in Pront (prontera 142, 227) that will do just that.

That knight only removes event based quests like Ice Titan, Abyss, etc while there are a lot of permanent quests that leave logs that don't seem to go away. I think one of my characters still has a job change quest log for second class even though they are now rebirthed/3rd class.
Being able to quit certain quests for whatever reason would be nice, too. Last I checked you could only do one Eden quest at a time but had no way to cancel the one you were on if you couldn't finish it for some reason. Was a while ago, but I don't recall that ever being changed.
