Client is not patched correctly so the new lucky box hats are crashing it. You've either missed a patch (reinstall), or have UAC problems (follow richard's steps).I need help... whenever I chose a character in my account it loads and then it suddenly says "Spr :: Cannot find File : sprite" followed by random symbols and ending with .spr Can someone help me with this problem? I can log in my account but I cannot play characters cause it shows whenever I click a character.

Can't find Ragnarok Renewal Shortcut. What are you talking about?
- Uninstall the client.
- Reinstall the client, ideally into a folder outside of the Program Files folder, such as the Shared Documents or Public folder.
- Open the client folder in Windows Explorer.
- Select all the executable files (files with the 'exe' extension) in the folder (hold control to select multiple files).
- Choose 'file', 'properties' from the menu bar.
- Open the 'compatibility' tab.
- Tick (check) 'run this program as an administrator'.
- Press 'OK'.
- If you're using the outdated outdated 2010/10/7 installer:
- Open the 'Ragnarok Renewal' shortcut.
- Close the updater after it's finished updating.
Open the 'Ragnarok' shortcut to play.

Those instructions were posted nine months ago! I've updated them for you (in the original post). They were actually much more complicated than necessary.

patching was like this: 1) Start the RO that you have the issue on (valk or prem). When it gives an error, write down the file that it got the error on.
2) Download the hex editor, XVI32 http://www.chmaas.ha...xvi32/xvi32.htm, and extract it (it doesn't need to be installed). Others will work, but may call features different things. This is what I use, and hence why i recommend it.
3) Start -> Run -> "notepad" (this starts notepad as admin on 7/vista, so it will see the correct version of the file). Open patch2.txt in your RO folder. You will see a long list of file names, and numbers associated with them. Find the file that you got the error on. Write down the 4 digit number on the line BEFORE the file that you got the error on - NOT THE NUMBER OF THE FILE YOU MISSED, THE NUMBER OF THE FILE BEFORE THE ONE YOU MISSED.
4) Run XVI32 as admin, and open patch.inf in the RO folder (for valkyrie, fpatch.inf).
5) Leave the first byte selected, tools -> encode number. Enter the number you recorded in step 3. Select "longint - 4 byte" and "overwrite". Press okay. Save the file.
6) Exit XVI32 and notepad, and run the patcher. It will start patching with the file that failed last time. If you get another error later in the process, return to step 1.

I've done precisely that and no file named "Ragnarok Renewal" is in my RO folder. On top of that, I've downloaded, installed, patched several times and I still get sprite errors. I'm at my wits end here. I've looked all over the forums for information about this and no one seems to know the solution to my problem. I'm at a true loss here. Those instructions were posted nine months ago! I've updated them for you (in the original post). They were actually far more complicated than necessary.

You installed the client outside of the Program Files folder?
What's the file name of the installer you're using?

(snip)
My guess is that you slipped up with my patch-server-problems workaround and missed one of the patches. That process for patching is far from ideal, and certainly isn't officially supported. Maybe you entered the number of a patch it failed on, instead of the patch before the one it failed on?
Do you know anyone else who has a copy of RO installed? You can copy the entire RO folder between computers, and it'll work. That might be a better option in this case.
Also, as an aside, please don't use that image hosting service here. It spawns popup windows advertising porno. Use something like imageshack.us or photobucket.com

Firstly, check whether the Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable is installed in the bottle that contains your Ragnarök Online client installation:
- In CrossOver, choose Configure → Manage bottles… from the menu bar.
- Select the bottle that contains your Ragnarök Online client installation.
- Open the Applications tab.
- Check whether Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (9.0) Redistributable is present in the list of installed software.
- Press Install software….
- Select Run-time support components → Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (9.0) Redistributable.
- Press Install.
- Complete the installation process.
- Wait until CrossOver has finalised the installation and then press Done.
- Select Ragnarök Online in the list of installed software.
- Press Repair or remove….
- Press Next and then Remove twice.
- Wait until the uninstallation process has been completed.
- Press Finish.
- Press Install software….
- Select Community-supported applications → Ragnarök Online.
- Press Proceed.
- If the options Choose installer file and Choose installer folder are presented, then choose Choose installer file and then choose the Ragnarök Online client installer file.
- Press Install.
- Complete the installation process.
- Wait until CrossOver has finalised the installation and then press Done.
For future reference, please make posts about playing RO on OS X in the thread How to play Ragnarök Online on OS X.

I did the instructions up to step 3 but it won't let me replace the file because it says "error copying file or folder cannot copy patch.info access is denied, make sure the file is not full or write protected".
I'm pretty sure that it is write protected so how do i get rid of that so i can replace the file.

reinstall it then run it as administrator.
The latest versions of the client's executables are automatically run with administrative privileges.

I got the same problem too, I just downloaded the new installer (that is April 2015). I uninstalled the old game and deleted the old "C:/Gravity" folder and install the new one. Right after long time patching, I able to click play then the menu shown up asked for my id and pass. After I put 'em I enter the game. Then this window pop up. I had to click "ok" many time or "enter" before it goes away. I found out that the pop up may appear if I meet up with people with weird or in this case latest head gear. I can't even move a 1 block of space without the pop up shown. So how am I suppose to leveling...? I got killed. I uninstall again, then deleted the "C:/Gravity" again and reinstall it again. Guess what? same problems occur...
I done some fixing but other problems appear, then suddenly I'm all alone at Prontera No NPC No player. Now I already uninstall the Game and deleted "C:Gravity" again and reinstall it again. The 1st problem still there... What should I do...?Please help me...

Can you take a screenshot of the sprite error and link it here please? You can use any free image hosting service to upload the screenshot, Photobucket or Imgur works fine.
As a side note, this is an old thread from 2011 and may contain none valid solutions. For that reason it is advised to start a new topic.
