I'm sure I touched on parts of this on parts of this topic on another thread before however,
I just wanted to start off by saying or Not saying, IRO is going to shut down, Its been around for a long time and has lots of potential, but it will always be hurting for new players, if its not going to change.
The biggest problem with the game IMO is the economy, relying on bots being at the root of the problem, to fix this problem they have to stop players from turning a blind eye to bots they feel its a needed part of the economy to supply there guilds, these are the people we want to keep playing.

The players that want to bot for their little pee pee complex they have going on, well they will learn to play legit and work in the economy or leave for green-er pastures where they can cheat and feel better about them self. I'm ok with that.

Lastly are the botters that bot to sell zeny, these are not even players, they sell the zeny to the kids that want the bigger prosthetic. These are the spammers that drive away old players coming back or new players that want a level playing field. (Fair = Fun) the Valk Guild learned this lesson when most of there players left because they where bored when they had such an unfair advantage from cheating for so long, even there own players got bored and quit, the core that was making money on the side stay in hopes they can revive things...

Any way to the point, to fix this will take a few major steps,
get the bot problem under control, this would take having few things in place before they could do this.
All items needed for crafting would need to be vended by NPCs, I know this is not as easy as it sounds,
and would have to be fair so that people wont just have to end up botting for the zeny to pay for them defeating the purpose of having the items vended in the first place.
The game would need an NPC that takes old excess unused equips off the market multiple of equips that no one is buying, maybe the point system could pay for the crafting
items or option to pay with zeny.

The alternative is, If the market is not balanced, the GMs will have to keep doing gambling to remove excess zeny off the market to slow down Inflation.
This in turn frustrates all the people that play legit, because they work there ass off to get gears,
that botting players dump at cheap prices just to keep their gears better than legit players.
Now I'm not saying every player that dumps gear is a botter but, if enough botters do dump cheap every one has to follow suit, or be zeny starved.
I know it seems like a rant but, if you don't look at the full picture, then its totally out of context, as I'm sure the people with reading comprehension problems reading this will try to pick it apart. or the Valk Guild members that where singled out will try in retaliation for being pointed out for there past exploits, yet again.

Again, I'm Okay with that.
