Question I am trying to participate in the Red Bandana event.
I would like a +5 red bandanna.
I purchased one and upgraded it to plus 4 then purchased an enriched eluminum which then failed with a supposed 90% success.
I figured just a bad day so I tried again. It failed. So wasted 2 enriched elu, 8 elu and then 2 red bandana.
Bought 3 more red bandanna and 13 elu.
Broke 2 more going to +5 with regular elu. So now wasted an addtional 10 elu and 2 more red bandanna. I have one now at plus 4 yay a whole 10% more exp for a month for 10 dollars lol. It seems rigged or futile and I can't get someone else to do it for me and pay them cost + tip.

I was curious if any one has any recommendations on how much more would be appropriate to spend or if giving up is the better option.

Only worth it if you already have VIP. Seems like you have a string of bad luck. I always upgrade with enrich since it has a much better chance of upgrading.

Sorry one last question just curious if enriched elunium still guarantee 90% success to plus 5 on the red bandana specifically or if its adjusted. Reallitically if i buy more then 3 more and try and all fail the odds of getting .1 x .1 x .1 is like 1/1000 if i already take the fact i broke to more that puts it one in 100,000 so rigged in my books

I went straight to +7 using Enriched. -Shrugs- One Bandana, nothing broke.

It still should be 90% since I don't think they changed. It's a lot of work just to change it for one item.

I would suggest you just not-use normal Elu except to +4 it. It's not at all unrealistic to fail twice in a row from +4 to +5 with enriched, though you're pretty unlucky all the same.
I made +7 on the second one I bought, so I don't think they're rigged or anything. Maybe me and Kitten just have VIP Gold memberships, and you're still on the bronze/silver tier.

+6'd my first, broke to +7
+5'd my second, broke to +6
+7'd my last one and hit +8 with HD elu after that.

Not rigged, upgrading is just a pain in the arse sometimes.

it's a gamble, you can win or you lose; the casino usually wins more often.
that's why accountbound "Upgrading-EXP event hats" suck. They force you to gamble to be part of the event. On all your accounts.

wow, so you had a 10% of failing and you failed at BOTH times????? wow that's awesome.

I wish I had that string of luck going to +9 -> +10 on some of my gears

1st broken going to +5
2nd went to +9 perfectly.

no one really knows those are the refine rates which is odd. all those rates that are listed are based on statistics not pure program code. I also swear that some people have all the luck or they just never share their horror stories with upgrading.

why is always a damn upper head gear that has a experience thing going on. i know you don't lose much with an upper, but still i am not going to run around with an over priced pink pirate bandana on my head for a couple of weeks in leu of my earned other headgears. it should have been a lower head gear; like a ticket or something, "this ticket gives you the easier ride on the way to 150 while still having to pay the the kafra union." i duno be a little more creative rather than changing the color of an old head gear.
