Warlords are actually more preferable in party play in general regardless of PVE or PVP. Berserkers are better geared for Solo play in both. The thing that makes Warlords crucial now is that they can buff 2k HP to 8 people. In party scenarios this makes a huge difference. In battlegrounds if one side has a Warlord and the other doesn't, it could be the difference between victory and defeat just because one side has 16k more HP floating around. Berserkers on their difference comes down to player skill and gear.

If you were to say which one is better. The answer to that currently is Warlord since the solo play in this game is so limited. That may change if Gravity starts to adopt duality development through solo and party play. Such as a Ladder type elimination PVP battlegrounds.

How are both classes when it comes to PVE damage output? Is it noticeably different?

Yes. If a Berserker is lucky they are capable of a 7k crit, a Warlord is capable of 3.5k-4k from crits. Then again Warlords also use AOEs which could make a difference.

Anyways, depends if you want to support, aka warlord(buffing, aoes, raids, etc...) or a main role, aka berserker (solo dps, higher dmg, more challenging gameplay). I will be posting a berserker guide soon, but if you want a build feel free to pm me or ask me to post it in here.
