when i log in, and i type the name of the person i want to whisper to on the drop down box on the left hand side at the message field, i don't get any message (my message doesn't show on the box or i don't get a reply). later i found out he didn't get the message. if i type the wrong name, i should get not online or doesn't exist. right now the only way for me to do 1on1 chat is by right clicking a person and selecting 1on1 chat or if the person already whispered me and i reply by selecting his/her name on the drop down box. the command /whisper doesn't work now too - it says invalid command. does anybody know why?

Ah, as someone who does a lot of whispering, please make sure that the capitalization matches, otherwise it won't go through.

Make sure the setting for your chat window is not set to not show whispers? If you want to make it so whispers shows up in a new window, check the setting in your Friend window.

Nvm ~~ it something mus be buggy/ramdom some where

i can now whisper my merchant

Sometimes people replace capital I with lowercase L and vice-versa which also creates a bit of confusion.

It's a bug that occurs often with the client. It's the same as the bug where your text/camera angle gets pushed up/down all the way due to the mouse pad if you play a laptop. Simply restart the client and see if this fixes the issue of the "This person is either offline or does not exist." not showing up.

thanks i thought i was alone lol. sometimes restarting client does help but there are times that it's the same. and it's got nothing to do with chat filters but thanks for the reply@richard and miyuki.
