Everyone cried while watching the Lion King. If you haven't cried while watching it, you're not human.

requiem for a dream was sad to me -> total downfall of people in addiction

enter the void was partly sad to me -> seeing how her brother gets shot / explict showing (over and over again) of how the parents of the two maincharacters die when they were kids in a car accident, while they are inside / how they get seperated after becoming orphans

Suicide Circle was partly sad to me -> seeing a devastated father after the suicide of his child

The Fall was partly sad to me -> in the 1920's a stuntman becomes suicidal after getting injured, meets this little girl in the hospital he is in and tells her a fantastic story, but is only willing to continue if the girl brings him sleeping pills so he can kill himself

A thread about sad movies and NO ONE has mentioned Dr. Zhivago yet? Blasphemy.

Also if you're into anime stuff, Grave of Fireflies and Makoto Shinkai's works are all pretty good.

And on this note, my parents had me watch a movie called Fluke when I was like 7 because it had a picture of a puppy on the case. Yeah, pretty much ruined my childhood forever.

Yikes, that's like "my kid likes dogs, let's have them watch ol' yeller"

Grave of the fireflies, that's a rough one to watch...especially when it was showing at the Hiroshima museum...

The Pianist is a very sad film (a bit sadder than Click I think)

Trying to fight against the inevitable (freeze and/or drown to death) is pretty sad.

But if you want sadder...

Don't hate me, but I never really found Schindler's List to be a sad movie. I mean, yes, it's obviously terrible that the events depicted in it occured, but the movie never really has you connect with one of the unfortunate people. When I watched it, I felt it was more a movie about someone fighting against sadness than it was a movie of sadness.

And, I'll admit, I cried during Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Grave of the fireflies, that's a rough one to watch...especially when it was showing at the Hiroshima museum...

I watched Old Yeller in class when I was in elementary school because we were reading the book (don't remember what grade it was, but I was young enough to be bursting in tears T.T)

I watched Grave of the Fireflies a couple years after I got curious reading about it in forums. it was as sad as people described it -_-
