@Anchors
Nod, okay i did not know that, not my main language inglish. And sorry to the guy i said was wrong [no1

What you say about FM is true, it's just in nameless 3 the necros don't get the freezing status so the damage from JF is kinda crap and soul expansion would be higher dps. I just use fm or jf to aggro all the stuff on screen.

You mean the can't be Frozen, because they undead.
What gives more damage with JF is Freezee and any monster, except bosses, can get it even Water monsters.

Theres only a handful of enemies immune to freezing curse, thats why FM and JF will always be Warlock's primary AoE skill. If you dont get Frost Misty level 5, you fail as a Warlock and you are pretty much useless in parties.

Was replying to anchors and just noting that undead and boss means they do not suffer pushback so sg for the purposes of push back doesn't really apply.

As you get higher level FM & JF may still be useful but equally can be dispensed with if you choose to. There is not that many great end dungeons to level a warlock in. It is useful for bio 2 and perhaps scarab hole with CR. Kasas are immune to freezing i think and for nameless 3 i've known many warlocks to dispense with FM/JF completely.

It really depends on your playstyle and where you are levelling. Where do you party that FM/JF is so vital? Early on i can see magmarings and magma but later on?

I did the math...

(1 - SQRT((36*2 + 111) / 530)) * 5 * 0.8 + 5 * 0.2
(1 - ((72 + 111) / 530)) * 4 + 1
(1 - (183 / 530)) * 4 + 1
(1-0.34)*4 + 1
0.66*4+1
2.64+1
TOTAL Cast Time: 3.64 NOT 2.65, u forgot of 1s from the fixed probably

No, the fixed cast time is this part: (1 - max_fixedReduction/100%) * baseCast * 0.2 = 5 * 0.2

Total is 2.65 sec and thus all the rest of your calculs are wrong.

SQRT = the square root = X^0.5

Edit: Sorry, I replied without reading further...!

My Warlock does WoE and PvP too. Without Frost Misty level 5, I'll have hoards of enemies running toward me and I'll never be able to kite without it. Biolabs 2 (must have Glorious Destruction Staff) and Scarabas are pretty much the best leveling spots for a Warlock. I just don't see how the heck you can train efficiently anywhere else as a Warlock.

I dunno about those other Warlocks but Frost Misty 5 and Jack Frost 5 has served me well so far and there's no way I'm sacrificing 10 skill points for anything else that's crap....

I like Frosty Mist as well. However the one thing I don't like is Jack Frost WITHOUT the benefit of "Freezing" curse to amplify the damage. Jack Frost alone seems to really sucks damage wise and really needs the 80% Frosty Mist to be useful really.

The really misleading thing about Jack Frost is that I believe the skill descriptions of it only give it's damage if the target has/is under Freezing and not a true value of the skill alone. This would be kinda the same way of giving Fire Bolts damage effect on a target under Stone Curse or Earth Property (FB 10 on Earth 4 monster is 2000% magic damage). Or JT/LB's damage on a "Frozen" or Water Target (LB10=1500% and JT 10= 1800%). It's really demoralizing to see Level 5 of this skill does 2500% Water damage and then learn that's only IF you inflict another status first.

I am not totaly sure what the damage without Freezing is but it SEEMS to be about 3-4 times better with it.

BTW this topic seems to have gone off on a side Road of skill discussions. My Recommendation for Dex vs Luck still stands as for Wiz & HWiz Dex is needed due to VERY LONG cast times of MS, LoV and SG. It's more important to get to the casting of them and compensating with a good weapon for more Magic attack. Ounce you hit WLock you can pump more into Luk though but wouldn't recommend more than say 30 base luck until you hit WL.

I just realized.... I use Arc Angeling Glasses so 77 luck is pretty much staple for me. B) Although it's nice because I can recover all my SP back easily after getting mobbed with a ton of monsters with Energy Coat.

Other than that, I guess you can live without tons of Luk and invest more points on Dex. It really depends on your setups really.

I might do that too. ;)
