i check the compendium found that moss golem boss got drop epic. This few day i keep hunting it and the boss keep drop nothing or some blue equipment.

mostly the drop is legendary, elven, dark and etc...or low enthric and lisent Hg

i hunt it over 100+... and now almost give up, is this boss really drop Epic weapon?? or im just unlucky enough =(

Epic drops are extremely rare. possibly one chance in 1000 or lower.
The drop rates of epics was reduced significantly in a recent update.

You aren't unlucky if you don't get one after 100 kills. You have barely started .

Kill it 5000 times without an epic then I will agree that you are unlucky but if you get one before 1000 kills then you are very lucky indeed.

I don't have the exact figures phish but i know they are rare as hell.

One version of the drops table that I received had some drop percentage data left in and I remember some items had a drop chance of less than 5 in 100,000 (0.005%)
They usually remove this data cuz they are meany faces

Damn. Well it's obvious they removed the actual percentages because if people actually saw what they were they wouldn't even attempt to farm them!

How many purple items do you think i have ever gotten in 6 years?

Yes in 6 years of playing I have only ever gotten one single purple drop.
It came from a Lava Golem in the oblivion temple about 8 months ago.
It was a crappy one handed sword that appraised with no extra stats at all and sold for 5 mil.

And that was before the drop rates were nerfed.

I have seen a couple of others drop but other party members grabbed them first (literally a couple. 2 in 6 years)

I once levelled a hawker from 1 to 100 on nothing but bosses with the backup of one of my clerics for buffs and healing.
Absolutely not one single purple drop in about 2 weeks (about 2 hours a day mostly)
I must have fought literally thousands of them from jelly king through krawfy king right up to behemoths on Luna. Nothing, nada, bugger all.

yeah I did word it a little ambiguously but i figured that in the context of this thread nobody would pick up on it

I got a purple weapon my 2nd day playing ROSE, didnt think it was anything special until today O.o then again low low level bosses probaly have much higher drop rates (was a gattling gun).

the Gatling gun isn't an epic its just a normal unique for any level the epics have a lvl 200 level requirement

I would think Uniques are just as rare as the lvl200 epics, seeing as how they are a "Purple Weapon" and that is what is listed under the title "Epic" in the drop tables.

its possible, i haven't really done any unique hunting lately to say but im thinking that epics might be harder still. could be totally wrong who knows since they removed the %'s of the drops

Yeah the epic drop rate was dropped too low in my opion. Epic katar is like 800mil clean. Crazy...

I'll try to make a little more sense in future
