Hi I'm new to dragon saga and I have a few questions -_-

1. What's a good class that fits my taste? - I like good damage, decent survivability, looks cool/flashy BUT not too bandwagoned AND doesnt take too much funds, I don't care about speed or defense, I was thinking of maybe the overlord line?

2. How do I job advance in this game?

3. Are there are guides for noobs?

4. What levels do we advance?

5. Is it hard to level?

6. Any other tips for noobs?

Thanks guys!

1.- If youu want power and thinking in playing pve go for overlord, dragoon is for pvp, I think those are the best classes for news

2.- When you get to the required level a special missions will appear, after you do them you will change your job

3.- Yes, you have to look for them in forums, sorry I dont any guide -_-

4.- every class advance in level 20, 40 and 60 (cap level so far is 70)

5.- sometimes it turns boring... but if you reach 42 you can go to the new mission maps (f7) and you can easily level up there

6.- never forget to do hunter quests

1. Hmmm, What you say definitely follows amongst the "warrior's" line. Thieves are way too over played, archers aren't really flashy -_-, magicians suck at survivability, so of course the warrior path is the way to go! As the guy above said that the two are in contrast. Dragoon's are more towards the PVP path, not to say they're terrible at fighting monsters but they lean towards the PVP side. Where as overlords are basically opposites. Overlords are very potent in fighting monsters (PVE), but if you look forward to PVPing a lot then you might reconsider.

2. There are special Quests that follow the main storyline of Dragon Saga. Those are called "Hero Quests." Hero Quests are the main line of Dragon Saga which creates the basic plot of the game. They are extremely important to complete. Given that they are important, they also allow you for class change. If you just keep following all the quests in RED your class change will come naturally.

3. Well there is an event of "Newb Helping Guides" that just recently opened. If you keep checking back the forum will eventually be flooded with new guides to help you out through out the game.
Look at this link. http://forums.warppo...-guide-contest/

Or simply look at the same forum where this topic was posted. Mainly for class guides etc and finding some other questions that can be answered.

4. Every class will advance in intervals of 20. So at level 20, 40, 60 are your 3 job advancements you will have (make sure you follow the main storyline). And yes as the guy above said the cap is level 70 so far.

5. You will find leveling a lot different than other MMO's. Most games will max your level at 99 or something but dragon saga stop at 70 which is why you will find that leveling becomes really tedious and time consuming. Just take your time and keep going. Levels come naturally as you play.

6. Always remember to do EVERY quest. Quests are the base of your leveling. You will find it very difficult to level if you are just grinding. So for that reason you will want to do every Yellow and Red quest. If you do every one of those quests you will find that your levels are almost perfect and consistent. As you progress you will find other quests thats are Blue and Green. These quests are optional to do and don't overall affect your game play as much as the yellow and red quests do. They are good to get those last few experience points you are missing ETC.

Red Quests = Main Storyline. Contains Best Everything! Best EXP, Best Gold, and Best Items. MUST FOLLOW TO CONTINUE
Yellow Quests = Side Quests. Good EXP, Good Money, and some items every now and then.
Green Quests = Daily Quests. Fair EXP and Gold. Gives some items that don't generally benefit you much except to receive some souls. CAN ONLY DO ONCE DAILY.
Blue Quests = Repeatable Quests. Meh EXP and Gold. Doesn't usually give items. Only good to just do it if you just so happen to be killing the same monsters to complete other quests. REPEATABLE MEANING CAN BE DONE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE.

Not exactly right. Most people actually SKIP all the quests. The fastest way to level and get gold/soul/equip at lv1-42 is running missions. Running those mission maps over and over again will get you to lv30, then f6 until 42. Only do the quests necessary for job changing. The rest can wait until you are high enough level to finish them quickly, or if you are bored. Magicians are actually the best survivors of the game, lol. And they dont need to buy hp potions. They have a ton of heals to use. Warriors have high defense. Knights > overlord in every aspect of the game. A paladin is one of the best pve classes in the game, as well as the best pvp class. Overlord has cooler skills, good aoe for pve, but still harder to pve and pvp than knight. Bandit is good for chaos map farming, and kinda good for f7. Ninjas are good for pvp. Bandits and ninjas are a little harder to play. Well bandit is kinda easy, spamming 3 skills over and over. Archers are only good if you have a good fps. The overall best class? Warrior -> Knight -> Paladin -> Dragoon -> superbrokenopinstantwinclass

P.S. GREEN daily quests are the best for leveling once you get to lv25. The hunter g quests give up to 40% if you complete all 10 (takes about an hour). Also, the reward from hunter g quests ( capsules ) can be sold to end-game players for 10g ea. Find out yourself why!

I would say that the Thief tree is only really hard from that initial grind from lv 1-23. Otherwise, Bandits have it easy with Final Decision, as well as Upper Screwdriver later on with the 3rd class skills. Ninjas have somewhat have higher critical rate, as well as pretty quick at killing bosses due to Throw Daggers.

Yeah, doing the main quest line really does lv you decently fast. You can do the yellow ones in your spare time, its somewhat easy exp. Also, go for the green ones that are over the wanted sign. Although those may not give you as much as the Daily Hunter G quests, depending on the hunting some of the monster cards you get are good gold to sell to other players.
