Everyone keeps telling me how amazing it is to level new characters on ant eggs. So I go there to see what the fuss is all about.

They don't really give great experience. (I mean, running the kill quests for eden group is much better experience)
They spawn kind of slow.
They're camped all to hell by genetics with homuns so you're lucky to get a hit in anyway.

I just don't see how this is a great place to level new characters, or really even a decent place to level them. It's better experience to just walk around and kill the ants.

I would only see it as good if you had no money for pots cause they cant hit back. I think they are pulling your chain or something.

Someone in IRC said to go to ant eggs at level 20.

There's a thread about people griefing each other there on valk like every other day.

I think the first comment was about pre-renewal.

They are around the range of lvl 20 but they are kinda a far track off for like 10 mins of leveling. I would more take the route of going peco pecos to poporings rather than ant eggs. I duno i can image tho that the area has turned to crap on valk because of the bots and the introduction if the vitata card. Maybe thats what all the real fuss is about.

Well I don't kow about how it works with other classes with ant eggs but ant eggs were really great for me I was a mage and easily killed the LOTS of them with fire ball, this was on ygg there wasn't anyone camping at the time.

I leveled several homuncs and OD 1 is still giving better exp than ant hell for me. Some people just like to be jerks to low levels

Ant eggs are a lot more fun than afking on OD. On ant eggs, you get fun surprises like a genetic trying to cultivate->morph-> kill you, a chaser manholing you out of the dungeon/away to a random map, the nice chat of people demanding you to move... lots of KSing, lots of ill manners, lots of everything.

For me, the AFK alchemist class asked me if I want the spot to level. I leveled to 48 with them since cart rev is really nice on those eggs. A lot of exps and do not need to spend money on pots and/or mammo . It was really nice of that person to give me the spot. BTW it didn't take me long to get to 48.

the deal with ant eggs works like this, you get a blast clip, a huge damage weap (quad diligent orc axe or something like that, +atk gears, etc), some SP gear and hope the entrance isnt camped. you can stand in the center of the eggs on either side of the entrance and oneshot each of the mobs. the respawn is fairly fast and there really isnt any better exp in that range. forget about the eden quest just kill the out of them. once you hit 38 or so OD1 is very nice until about 70 or so, then it starts getting very slow very fast.

Sera, did you have an AOE skill or where you killing the eggs one at a time? The best thing about ant eggs is that they are a mob-able enemy that doesn't fight back, which is pretty rare at that low level.

I'm a level 20 high archer following a pre-renewal build, so no.

I guess that could be feasible if there weren't two or three genetics at every spawn.

And that's the great tragety of ant eggs...if you get them to yourself you're set. if there are other people there, then best go somewhere else >.<

it is a nice spot to level taekwon kids though. tornado kick is pretty awesome vs ant eggs.

How to enjoy RO:

Get drunk or high
Go to a map where the whole screen is water
Stare at the water

96 -> Trans: "Renewal isn't so bad..."
1 -> 29 High Novice/Archer: "Renewal is awful" quit for a week
30 -> Go to Overlook and get 10% per kill: "Renewal is okay again"

Only person I could find leveling at this hour was a monk who was dealing half the damage of my level 38 high archer.

Its good exp if nobody else is there and you have an aoe (blast clip, arrow shower, fireball) so can kill *all* of them in the time they respawn. I'm taking the two patches at entrance and the 4-5 paches just south.

Otherwise skip em.

It's good exp if you're on Yggdrasil and you're either rich (for a low-level) or are a mage/swordsman/archer so you can kill *all* of them in the time they respawn. Otherwise skip them.
