Changes for Next week.
1-11 Eden Group quests
Possible Guild Dungeon mobs and MVPs getting a buff in power
Woe allowing backslide and Ninja teleports
Looking into KVM <-> BG conversions, after fixing BG
Investigating ways to acquire high volume items. (yes us trying to undercut bots while providing a service to our new and old users)

Above is the text from todays patch notes(May 26th)

My questions,comments, be gentle.
1. Is it saying level 1 to 11 player eden quests will be changed? Or a 1-11 Update to the quests? Heh.

2. A Buff in power would be great, don't forget to buff the experience though. Upping spawn rate would be fun too. GD's should be worth fighting for <3.

3. Its about time other classes can start using their mobility skills. Monks have had the snap advantage for too long.

4. I havent touched BG in forever, it seemed every time I entered in the past a problem shot up, or people got bored from waiting ._.

5. Would be nice if we had some more instances available to a wider level range. How about an instance with different modes? That way one instance release would be available for any level range to go to, and its a fair fight. ---I mention this because I feel instances should be the way to acquire a high volume of items, either make it a reward or alter the monster drops so that many of the same thing drops.

They're going to put in new eden quests to get players from base level 1 to 11 (or 12 idk).

I thought ninja's teleport skills were disabled because they somehow allowed ninjas to get into enemy guild's TREASURE ROOMS?

i think eden 1-11 is redundant since youre spending your time in training grounds around that level.

They need to clarify this. does this also mean monster LVL and EXP? if it is its good news.

as far as i know, there is no eden quest for level 1-10 (equipment or exp), it starts at 11 for exp and 12 for equipment.

as far as i know, there is no eden quest for level 1-10 (equipment or exp), it starts at 11 for exp and 12 for equipment.


Its been some time since I made a new character, I kinda assumed that they already had something out for starting levels....even though the back and fourth in most eden quests isnt worth the time((I found)) Perhaps I just prefer a good grind.

you don't go training grounds as trans high novice so it is somewhat not redundant.

They can easily just make the 11-25 quests available at level 1 to 25. If they are evaluating the Eden Quests, 26-41 is the ones they should be changing. You get less exp from doing the 26-41 compared to 11-25.

In the 11-25 Group
Kill 30 Poison Spore & collect 5 Poison Spore - 5000 base exp

In the 26-41 Group
Kill 10 Poison Spore - 1000 base exp and 100 novice potion

somewhat agree (to the extent that eden quests are waste of time), except for the fact about grinding which can become boring in a while.

you don't go training grounds as trans high novice so it is somewhat not redundant.

In my experience, by the time I was trans'd to a high novice I had the gear to easily solo quickly. So didnt really need training grounds or eden quests :wink:

If by buff mvps you mean
give them abilities like Coma and 4,000dps based earthquake hits just moves them more out of range of the common man and more into the laps of the 'I can one shot them with lex'd fist hit so dont care that they untankable' Sura.
Then Seriously dont bother

If by buffed mvps you mean
twenty times higher hp bosses that do damage similar to something like Boitata that any class can do but its best to do them with friends. Oh and if they had all had lvl 100+ Quests that members of the party could hand in once a week for 10million exp or something even better.

so did i. but i don't want to exclude SOME that don't. i mean i'm speaking for everyone, not the elite only. by this i mean, there are new people who 99ed and asked me how to trans, being new and all. knife, cotton shirt, first aid(quest if trans) and play dead isn't really that much of a help.

- Does anyone care? It takes less than 2 minutes to get 1-11.

- As long as it comes with higher EXP, better drops, and higher spawn concentration. Otherwise noone will care in the slightest.

Woe allowing backslide and Ninja teleports
- Oh :wink: Suras are too mobile in WoE, lets give them 2 second delay.. but lets allow Backslide! Not that it matters, Chasers Flying Kick and who plays GX seriously enough to care? Maybe now you can Backslide over traps faster?

- I don't even know what this means? Swapping KVM for BG Medals?

Investigating ways to acquire high volume items.
- Pretty funny. What improvements are we getting next week? Oh, we are investigating some.

not saying i do but maybe someone does. we're all individuals differing from one another and you can't expect everybody to think/do the same (or we're all robots/puppets following a grand blueprint). to put simply, even if there's 1% of the community who do things differently from the norm/usual, it still makes up for the 100% or it's just 99%. minority is negligible? maybe this is why persons get outcasted - this mentality.

About time for the back slide but most of the GX quit already :wink:,too funny I ditched my GX to build Sura because of this, then they allow back slide & add a huge after cast delay for zen, I smell a conspiracy.
It's fine I like most, have learned from the neffing of trans & will build more than 1 killer so if they nerf any 1 class it won't be QQ time.

As for the Investigating ways to acquire high volume items. why not have other options for turning in Treasure box
eg 1k blue pots or difficult to obtain crafting materials like prickly fruit, all crafting items should be obtained to curb the servers reliance on bots or people turning blind eye because they think its needed for healthy server econ.

My opinions:

1) Good addition, even if some people won't use. It's an improvement in gameplay experience.

2) If buff in power means to simply make them do more damage, then I'd say it's only a bandaid change. I'd prefer smarter MvPs. Perhaps, MvP minions could also be buffed in ways that would require group utility skills to counter. These changes won't really increase group MvPing, though, unless a better loot distribution/shared ownership system is implemented.

3) It seems like this change would make for more interesting WoE, though I haven't thought too much about cons or possible exploits with it.

4) I hope they don't consider too generous of a KvM <-> BG conversion, else it might result in lowered BG participation.

5) This is definitely a needed change. I don't know anyone that has fun clicking and picking up thousand or millions of junk loot to make zeny, and yet that's pretty much the only way new zeny enters market. Some possible additions:
A> Monster common drops are replaced by lower drop rate, stackable, multi-packs of the same item.
B> Monster kills result in automatic zeny increase for player/party, with an exponentially increasing zeny amount based on monster level. MvP tag, perhaps, can contribute additional bonus. Alternatively, MvPs could be buffed with additional quantity of high selling NPC loot.
C> Greed scrolls are made a reward from a number of different repeatable quests.
D> Greed skill to be made quest available to all classes and with re-use timer. Blacksmith class to be given access to Greed II, with increased AoE range and no re-use timer. Kafra shop greed scrolls changed to time-duration buff item that allows temporary access to greed II skill.
E> Addition of pseudo random buy-back NPCs that pay extremely high premium for certain junk loot. Buyback lists from premium NPCs to be automatically changed by time (or other ways), with some total potential buying inventory being cycled in pseudo random fashion. Buyback quantity limitations might also be useful.
