wear/equip the item , use drills to create a socket, and then go to your materials tab and drag and drop the gem into your chest or weapon or jewlery set ;x

~I see though I have an Eclipse and I can't equip it since I don't put str in my arti. Does this mean that I can't put a gem into my Eclipse?
