I was wondering if it was possible, or if other people even want it, to have an acct friends list in game? I find a major problem is that if I had 20ppl on a chars friend list by 1 month later I never see them again and have to keep updating the list. However ppl I play with all the time I sometimes don't realize they are on because I am on a different character and so miss out.
I just wonder if it is possible or to much of a hassle to make our Friend List for the whole account instead of individual toons. I know it might be a bit confusing at first but lets say you see 2 other friends on and you all feel like partying. It is much easier to organize a party even if you have to switch to one of your other characters to balance out the party.
Just let me know what you think plz.

I agreed on the account-wide friend list.
But can they make it, though ?

i think you're SOL on this one, there is some manipulation that can be done via stored procedures, if they're even used for this feature, that could potentially change out a friend with his alt, but how would you know who is who then? for ease of use, i suppose, account names could be used but then theres the whole problem of account names being exposed. without any protection from brute force attacks, this can be a real problem. as it stands, the best fix for this is to leave it alone i guess. there just doesnt seem to be a safe way to do this that wouldnt require a significant rewrite of atleast the client and server binaries to handle account based communications. i have an idea of a way this could be handled, but it's something that would take the dev team 6-8 months to hash out. if you really want to keep track of your friends, make a guild, put points in extention and invite your buddies and all their alts.
