The problem is either one of two quests;

Curse of Gae blog Quest

1. I do not have or lost the 'File Folder' item Historian Karlomoff gives you AFTER you deliver the books to him.

or

Nameless Island Entrance Quest

2. The Agent NPC on the International Airship isn't working properly.



Now, I know the Agent has bugged up before but if i started the Gae Blog quest how did i lose the file folder? Is there any one way to tell which one i'm having a problem with?

And yea i sent a ticket in.

To complete the Curse of Gaeblog quest, you must speak with Bonnie Imbullea one final time after obtaining the experience reward.

This may be silly but... did you talk to the NPC again to get it in the first place? He doesn't give you the file the first time you speak to him if I remember correctly.

Did you try to re-start the Gaebolg quest ? As for the agent I was never able to talk to him again, all what I remember while doing the quest is a pop up appeared when I ported into him and then he disappeared promptly. The quest was able to be finished correctly however [this was during pre-renewal].

Yes i have at least 3 times already. His dialog box reminds you to deliver his file, and your left with 2 options. "I Will" or "Read me the poem again?"

I went to the quest knight and asked her to delete my quests. Then tried to talk to "Busy Boy" and he is not responding. When i try to talk to "Historian Rodafrian" in morroc, a blue dialog screen appears saying "It appears you have lost your files"

And yes i've done this quest successfully on 4 other characters, pre renewal, and if i remember right the GMs recently stopped NPCs from 'unhiding' to prevent them from bugging up. I remember the "Agent" npc had a history of bugging up pre renewal.

Did you try to buy the lost files from pront library?

Yes i have. However if you read iWikis guide it says you can only buy them before you deliver the books to Karlomoff

1. Walk near Busy Looking Boy (prontera 248, 212) in Prontera to trigger a conversation. After picking up the books with him, you will be asked to send them to the Historian, Mr. Karlomoff in Juno.

Note: If you lose the books before you deliver them to Karlomoff, you can buy new ones from the Prontera library.

It would seem as if im stuck between step 2 and 3 where i have to give Rodafrian the file folder, the item i do not have, that Karlomoff gave me

2. Travel to Juno and find the Historian, Karlomoff (yuno 311, 195). After a conversation about a traditional rhyme, you will be requested to deliver a report to a colleague in Morroc. You will receive a File Folder.

3. Proceed to a building at Morroc 5 o'clock (morocc 198, 63) to find the Historian, Rodafrian (morocc_in 45, 126). Tell her the rhyme you previously heard, but you will be asked to find someone in Mjolnir to verify it.

Very strange. Usually if I am stuck in a quest I go backwards in the guide step by step. If I run out of solutions I ask gms to reset the quest variables but it takes some time from them.

One more silly question but did you ever do thor volcano base quest?

Annnd no i have not. iWiki doesnt say its needed as a prerequisite for nameless island quest. However Veins Silibings is a prerequisite for Thor Base camp. And yea i tried asking a few npcs down the quest chain and they did not respond to me like they're suppose to so im to assume im stuck without the file folder on my person.


Thx for the questions tho peoples. It helps alot in diagnosing whats wrong, cuz before i made the thread i tried to exhaust all my opinions before i came to a brick wall
