Hi everyone, I'd like you who have some experience with the mage class to evaluate my build:
- Stats: INT 99 + 17, Dex 90 + 9, VIT 45 + 5

- Equips:
Headguear: +9 Crown of Deceit of Caster [1] (Kathryne Keyron Card)
Headguear: Well-Chewed Pencil
Armor: +7 Valkyrian Armor [1]
Garment : +8 Immune Nydhoggur's Shadow Garb [1] (Raydric Card)
Footgear: Variant Shoes
Weapon: +10 Staff of Destruction [1]
Accessory (main): Sprint Ring
Accessory (main): Creamy Card
Accessory (alt): Phen Card
Accessory (alt): Vitata Card


I'm more interested in knowing if these equipments would be the best for pvm (so that I can lvl up fast).

Also another question is what item would be the best to compound those accessory cards? Nile Rose [1] ? Clip [1]? (I thought about Orlean's Glove [1], Glove [1] and Earring [1], but they all require lvl 90+ to be used =/)

Even with those reductions you will cast LoV, MS and SG at least 3 seconds because of fixed cast so your skills are not usefull for leveling... I think you should focus on open the skill tree looking forward being warlock instead being a classic pre-renewal HW.

I would change the pencil for Ninja Scroll and I wish you luk getting that +10 SoD xD

Hey Fibrizzo thx for the reply. +1% MAtk might indeed be better than +2 DEX.
About the skills, I changed a lot of them: took out Gravitational Field and Ganbantein so that I could put skills that will help me to level up. (someone from the iW Forums pointed out that these 2 skills aren't good to be invested at the moment.)

When I turn to Warlock, I might skill reset with Neuralizer, but as for now, are these skills good for leveling?

If you are gonna reset your skills when you change into warlock I think you should focus on one single target skills like fire/cold bolt or jupitel thunder and forget the AoEs. Frost Nova is really helpfull now (and it's awesome for passing the Warlock's battle test). It's spammable, fast, have a decent area and a great success when freezing enemies. Even Water Ball could help when hunting the items for the warlock test. If you can stop the monsters with fire wall you will 1HKO the nagas and bradium golems with WB.

I think SG is better in a lower level due to the chances of freezing. The damage is lower but you will deal more hits. You'll see that with SG 10 you will freeze a lot of monsters in the first hit (that is lame while dealing damage)

That's the same stats I went for, I used Clip[1] but of course Orlean's Glove is the best, good luck getting those items

I changed a bit my equips build and in the end I think that this will be it:

Garment : +9 Immune Diabolus Manteau [1] (Raydric Card)

Weapon: +10 Staff of Destruction [1] (Maybe Zakudam Card)

Accessory (main): Medal of Honor
Accessory (main): Glorious Ring
Accessory (alt): Creamy Card
Accessory (alt): Vitata Card
Accessory (alt): Phen Card

I know that these equips won't be easy to get and it will take a lot of time, but my wiz is my main and I love the mage class xP

You probably know this but the upgrade of your diab robe is not important at all so +9 seems like overkill. If resources are limited i would rather get a variety of elemental armors and possibly consider using orleans gowns if you are lazy like me.

Variants and a +7 or higher immune valk mant will probably serve you well till you get your diab mant and boots.

yes, I've considered getting 4 +7 Orlean's Gown [1]: (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind) for leveling up purposes in some maps.
About Variant shoes, according to my calculations, the D. Boots + D. Manteau is better HP wise.

Yeah the set will give you more hp but how much and will it make any difference? If it gives you like 1-2k more.. high level stuff will prob do that much in one hit anyway and you are paying a heavy premium for that. I personally prefer the perfect dodge from the valk mant.

Warlock trans lvl 150, VIT = 100, HP = 17500
Warlock trans lvl 150, VIT = 100, Using Variant Shoes (+20%HP), HP = 21000
Warlock trans lvl 150, VIT = 100, Using Diabolus Boots + Diabolus Manteau (+10 HP/Base lvl + 6% HP), HP = 20140
Warlock trans lvl 150, VIT = 100, Using +9 Diabolus Boots with Firelock Soldier Card + D. Mant (+10 HP/Base lvl + 16% HP), HP = 22040

Hmm, with this example, the Firelock Card w/ +9 Diab. Boots + D. Mant. gives only 1040HP more than the Variant Shoes build.

Would you say that a +10 Immune Valkyrian Manteau (Raydric Card) (which gives +25 Perfect Dodge) is better to be used than an Immune Nydhorgg's Shadow Garb [1]?

For pvm i usually use immune valk mant and for woe i would probably use anti-sniping nydd garb on a class like WL.

Some ppl favour +9 moon rabbit hat with KK card and isilla elvens. Just to mix you up a bit.

just wow... you are prolly looking at around 1.6b (at least) for that gearset. i guess all i can say is looks great.

what makes them expensive (for most items) is the upgrade.
I've done a little research on upgrading +7 -> +10 and I think that I'll stick to +8 items atm.
Maybe down the road I'll be able to get the +9/+10 equips ...

I was kinda debating with Immune Diabolus Mant vs Immune Valkyrian Mant. Which one would I use a lot more in the long run (barring WoE and PvP)?

Also if you want protection and want to use a shield, +9 Lich Bone Wand of Double Ignoring (Necromancer) is a 1 handed rod you can use so you can use a shield.
