I get to the character creation scree, and the screen freezes, then it flashes black and white - most recently it was just black and the computer shut down by itself.... weird
please help

Are you sure that you meet the system requirements?
Could be that you need to update your video card drivers.

oh yea, my audio crashes as well, its not quiet its like one noise repeated alot and really annoying

1.Find out which chipset you have by opening a dxdiag - Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt
2. In the command prompt, type "dxdiag" and a DirectX Diagnostic Tool will pop up, then go under the Display Tab, in the Device Section, your video card will be displayed. Take note of which chipset you have. (Ex. Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family)

Pick your windows and then drivers. Go to the list in the bottom and pick the .exe file.
