I downloaded Dragon Saga yesterday and managed to somehow log on and play it after a few crashes where the client would not start after the patcher ran. However, today I have not been able to play at all. Out of maybe 50 tries, the client actually opened in maybe 10 of them. The other times dragonsaga.exe would run for a few seconds and then stop and disappear from the task manager. Out of the times that the client opened, every single time when I hit "log in" or pressed f1, the client would crash.

I have already consulted the topic where it lists a variety of things you can do if this instance occurs. I have already repaired the install, uninstall/reinstalled, run it without antivirus software/firewalls up, and added Dragon Saga to every possible exclusion in my antivirus software/firewall. My port forwarding is fine (seeing as I was able to play it yesterday somehow). I have tried running the game as an administrator, deleting my patch.id, pretty much everything that has been suggested on the forums in the past I have tried, but nothing works. Either the client won't launch or it crashes after I attempt to login.

I also submitted a ticket to Tech Support with all this information and a Hijack This log. My ticket number is 067-157D722A-5715.

I checked the Windows event log and here are the errors that occur. NOTE: these are only the errors when the client crashes after trying to open it from the patcher:

I am running Windows 7 64-bit. My antivirus is Avast and I also have Threatfire Spyware/Virus protection. I run Windows Firewall and have already made sure that Dragon Saga is on the allowed programs list and that its incoming/outgoing rules have been enabled.

Any help on this would be great. I know people have posted topics about this before, but none of them ever really get resolved and always seem to get pointed to that one topic I mentioned above. If a permanent fix for this could come out, that would be great. Thanks.

I have, nothing changes. I have also tried Vista, Vista SP1, Vista SP2, XP SP 2 and XP SP 3. All of them are the same.

Which client download did you use? We also have the one below available. Which patch version does it say? Let me review your ticket.

I used the client download on this site: http://www.playdrago...ntdownload.aspx

My patcher says DS Ver: 0.1.47

My ticket pretty much is the same thing as this forum topic except the message is an earlier version of my first post.

If by errors you mean popup error windows, it depends. For the crash where the client doesn't even load, I will never get an error message. For the crash during login, maybe 1/4 of the time I will get an error message along the lines of "Dragon Saga (I/N) has stopped responding." The other 3/4 of the time it will crash without an error message. On a rare occasion, I am actually able to login. That's what confuses me the most: it's never consistent.

I'm assuming you've got plenty of memory to run the Windows 7 64-bit. I'm currently unable to find your ticket. Is the number correct?

I just downloaded the game too and i seems to get the exact same error. If you find a solution, is it possible to post it here?
It seem that we're only a few to have this error and i would like to be able to solve the problem.

Thanks
